  1. Akaal Purakh is not within the bounds of right and wrong. Everything is in his Hukam, yes. The Mool Mantar is the essence of Sikhi, that's also true. But you forgot about the last word in the Mool Manatar , 'Gurprasad', "with the grace of the Guru". Gurprasad is achieved after submitting to the Guru and following the bachans, hukams, and dictums given by Akaal Purakh via Gurshabad-Dhur Ki Bani. We accept everything is in the Hukam of Waheguru and Waheguru emanates within all, However, that doesn't mean we accept all actions, beliefs, and people without any regard to morality, ethics, and utmost Gurmat. The statement you made would directly conflict with certain places in Bani and Hukams of Guru Sahib Ji. For example, a criminal commits a crime. Now, we see that person as a human being with equal potential and Jyot. However, that doesn't mean we stop using our Bibek Budhi and apprehend that criminal or legally restrict him from being in certain places and engaging in certain activities. This is to ensure public safety and assure oneself that the likelihood of a crime is decreased. Now to further elucidate my point, there is a criteria for the eligibility of doing certain sevas, and holding certain sanskars such as Degh-Panchamrit Karah Prashad, langar seva, Panj Pyare seva, Granthi Seva, Amrit Sanskar, Charan Pahul sanskar, and Anand Karaj Sanskar. For example, in a military inauguration ceremony, there are certain requirements for being inaugurated, such as being a soldier of a certain rank. Now would it be logical and practical for a postman or a non-government or non-military personnel to partake in such a ceremony? Definitely not. It doesn't mean that those people aren't equal or inferior. They simply do not meet the criteria and logically have no service or place there. In that same line of logic, ceremonies such as Anand Karaj, Degh-Langar preparation, and administering Pahul have requirements and criteria that need to be met.

  2. In accordance with Authentic Puraatan Rehatname, men and women are both commanded to marry Sikhs. The Hukam applies to both genders. A Sikh should marry a Sikh only. Bhai Gurdas Sahin Jio says "Eik Sikh, Dohey sadh sang, panchi parmesar." It takes one person to be a Sikh, another to form sangat, and five to makes it the physical manifestation of Guru-Sarroop/Sri Akaal Purakh Bhagauti Mayee Waheguru Ji (hence Panj Pyare). This applies to marriage in the fact that when a Sikh (sahajdhari or Khalsai) is married, he/she has sangat. They have someone to do Bibeka and Gurmat Vichar with, someone to help them with Rehat, and someone to do Naam and Bani Abhyaas with. Both genders are also then given Hukam to educate instill Gurmat and Gursikhi Jeevan within their children, especially the girls as Dasmesh Ji says "Yuvti Sut Vidya Bahu Bhai" and "Sikh Sikhni mil bahi charcha karhi apaar, bhajan sikhavahi putar ko, nit bhaj barang baar". By marrying a manmukh, bemukh, asikh, kurehatiya, or durjan, one won't be able to live in accordance with Guru Sahib's Bachans and will. "A Sikh should give his daughter (in marriage) to a Sikh. Thus Gurmukh meets a Gurmukh. Giving a daughter to a Bhadni (non-Sikh) is like giving nectar to a snake."-Rehatnama Bhai Desa Singh. One of the greatest techniques used by the Turkus against the infidels was attacking the women. Kidnapping, forced conversion and marriage, subjugation, and sexual crimes were used to down-size, intimidate, and decrease the population of infidels. This is evident in history, look at the Tatar raids on Poland, their actions in India, the action of the Turks in the Balkans, and so on. The Pathans and northern Punjabi Muslims are infamous for this. To protect against this, Guru Sahib Ji gave this Hukam as well as the Hukam for women to be armed.

  3. Guru Nanak Dev jis parents performed a lot of bhagti in their past life for a pious son. That is why Guru Nanak Dev ji was born to them. Bibi Nanki was with Guru Nanak Dev Ji in many past lives as well. Our past bhagti and the reason for which we perform that bhagti will greatly influence the results which we get - no matter what gender you are. Bhagti cannot be inherited, however we are born to people who have similar avasta to ours. So we have been with our families for quite some time even before this janam. Slowly we changed as families to turn to Gurmat or away from it. Even one person who turns to Gurmat will save the whole family. This is because slowly - the mental attitude of all will start to change and turn to Gurmat. However this will happen over a repeated number of births - it is a slow process. ape beej ape hi kao

  4. When a spiritual soul comes down to Maat-lokh those from SatchKhand look for a worthy womb. They will wait until a mother also of high spiritual level is available and send the soul down to her. So it follows that the mother, who is already on Guru’s path would do naam/simran when she becomes pregnant for her baby. When mother (or anyone) does naam/simran for herself then that benefit will go to her, if she does it for her unborn then that benefit will go to the baby. This is not restricted to unborn babies, if you do naam/simran in someone else’s name then all the benefit will go to them. Infact, if you see a funeral procession going by make a point of doing a Chaupai Sahib or 5 Mool Mantras (or both!) for that body going by and the benefit will reach its soul, wherever it is. Just think, maybe that soul may not have done much simran, infact most people don’t do any, and the soul is stuck some place, now you do Chaupai Sahib and that reaches the soul and it is let through whatever restriction it was in, how much thanks and blessing will that soul give to the person who has just helped it in such a frightening situation, you will have helped the soul move on and you will get blessing from your Guru also. One of the reason why we do a sehaj paath when a person dies. Not just a funeral procession, if you see a road kill and an animal is lying dead do a chaupai Sahib for it and it will reach its soul. You are now doing “par-upkaar” and your Guru will be very pleased with you.

  8. 1. Can someone provide an accurate number of how many Sikhs there are in the world and how many Sikhs there will be in the future? 2. What is the fertility rate of the average Sikh? In my opinion, I think that in order for Sikhism to become a much larger religion than it already is, the mean fertility rate of the average Sikh must substantially increase. 3. Do you think that it is necessary for the Akal Takht and other prominent Sikhs and Granthis to launch conversion campaigns in India? 4. What and how do you see Sikhism being in the future? How many adherents will there be and how relevant will it be to the mainstream not just in India, but in other countries?

  11. This is coming from a person who can't even read Gurmukhi. You don't even know what the Guru is saying. So how can you make any evaluation of genie statements being true or false? Now we know who's the real idi*t around here. And after insulting people here you want them to produce translations for you! Get a life, you are a troll who has no honest intentions to learn about Sikhi.

  12. This poster has created multiple accounts. Karl Marx developed such ideas because he was heavily influenced by the Church. Karl Marx spent most of his time in London, which was under the power of the Church. The Church set laws by the standard of its religious doctrines. Karl Marx saw how the Church controlled peoples lives and made a blanketed statement about religion. He was a man with limited knowledge on religion. You fail to mention how Karl Marx mentions religion is also good for those who are struggling to get out of poverty. Karl Marx for the most part was not a troll like you. If Karl Marx was here today, he would make the assessment how secular governments like France have turned into extremist to control what people wear. Bikinis are forced on women by France like the Church forced laws on those who didn't follow the Church. In conclusion, I am saying you are stup*d for thinking your mickey mouse arrogance can prove anything. Keep going to school, you have not accomplished anything yet.

  13. Bro Swarg isn't the same as SachKhand, that saga depicts the ascension to Heaven and not SachKhand. Respect for Baba Ram Rai Ji is important however being a member of Guru Sahib's family is a blessing for past good karma, Even Guru Nanak Dev Ji's own sons were described to have turned their back on their father and carry sins on their backs for it. Neither of us are at the level of Brahmgyan where we know where these beings are now, it's best not to state anyone is at SachKhand except those Guru Sahib has specifically ordained.

  14. why because nearly 70 years of political duplicity by the GOI happens to make think that it is wise to pay attention and question each person that claims so much but yet has to deliver , has he said he's going to stop the theft of the remaining water of the punjab for the saraswati project? of course not, has he said he's going to negiotate better rates for farmers? combat the drug problem? combat police corruption and violence? hmmm I think I'm fine keeping an eye on him given his egotistical manner in the past, and the current sucking up to MODI over pak attacks

  16. the whole hateful speech you gave has zero to do with addressing the question ...try learning to think before speaking . A Sikh doesn't disparage women just cos he wants to ...if you are worried about outside influences complain about the fathers of these girls/women who don't take their parental roles seriously when they have to deal with teaching gurmat to their daughters whilst they are growing . Dhiley fathers produce dhiley children. you wouldn't hear a bhagatan or see one as you seem to pay more attention to the people that are not and a bhagtan would hardly mix with them. besides you do not need to be a brahmgiani just nitnemi khalsa bibi to be better than the people you have a problem with .

  17. So very true. For those of you interested in the meaning of this proverb, it goes something like: "Those with an abundance of grain, even their foolish are considered wise." That's Punjabi culture encapsulated in one perfect saying.
