  1. http://www.panthic.org/alerts/1000019 PANTHIC.ORG Published on November 14, 2011 Sant Samaj and Takht Jathedars Shamelessly Ignore Ruthless Tactics In welcoming right-wing Hindu terrorists of the Bhartya Janta Party (BJP) and Vishav Hindu Parishad (BJP), the Badal Regime systematically silenced all opposition protests in which cherished Sikh dastar of the young and old was desecrated openly by the security forces. The Akali Government, who is in alliance with the right-wing BJP, and the snatanist Sant-Samaj in the upcoming state elections, openly welcomed the Hindu Terrorist leader LK Advani's 'Rath Yatra' to Punjab. Advani is infamous for having approved and celebrated the 1984 invasion of Sri Darbar Sahib that killed thousands of innocents Sikhs and caused the destruction of Sri Akal Takht Sahib. While Akali Dal Amritsar and Sikh Student Federation activists were being kicked and beaten by the security forces, their dastars thrown on the ground like trash, shameless Sant Smajists, the self-styled babas who have been fleecing the Sikh nation for decades, were holding closed room meetings with Badal Dal representatives in hopes of reserving as many seat as possible for the upcoming Punjab Assembly elections. Not a peep was heard from these charlatans or the Takht Jathedars in regards to the desecration of the sacred Sikh dastar by the Badal Junta. 4. Wahegurujikakhalsawahegurujikifateh There were many Gurudwara Sahibs that were established in East Africa as Singhs emigrated from Punjab during the early 1900s. Wherever Singhs gathered one of the first things that they did was to create a place where they could meet in sadhsangat and sing the praises of Satguru Sri Guru Nanak Dev Ji Maharaj. In this way in a remote area called Taboro, Tanzania slowly a Gurudwara Sahib was built brick by brick by the hands of Guru Sahib's Sevaks. The Gurudwara Sahib in Taboro has a plaque attached to it which states, “Singh Sabha 1910”. At one time the Gurudwara Sahib used to be packed with Guru Sahib's Sikhs however as time went on the sangat began to leave this area till eventually only one Sikh family; a husband and wife were left. According to Guru Sahib's hukam the husband passed away one day. Sangat from the capital city Dar Es Salaam came in numbers to help with the Antam Sanskar of the Singh. After an Akhand Path Sahib had been completed and langar served the sangat from Dar Es Salaam told the Kaur that they planned to take Satguru Sri Guru Granth Sahib Ji Maharaj to Dar Es Salaam and close the Gurudwara Sahib in Taboro. The Kaur looked at them and said, “Why do you need to do that when I'm here? Don't you know that Guru Sahib has been blessing not only Sikhs but non-Sikhs with darshan for over 80 years. How can you deprive them of that?” “As long as I am alive I will continue to do Guru Sahib's seva as he blesses me with it.” In this way the Kaur continued to stay with Satguru Sri Guru Granth Sahib Ji Maharaj in Taboro. 7. Sachseeker - If there's real Beadbi going on, why don't you take responsibility to sort it out? If you have an issue with the committee, how can YOU work towards resolving it? Satkaar is everyone's duty, is it not? Why are you looking to others to step up? You clearly seem to be in the know as to what's going on, and you have an issue - that's why you keep bumping this thread. In anycase, have you even phoned the Singhs up to give your side of the story? The number's on the bottom of the post.

  8. I'm sorry to hear your upset, as sometimes people who we hold high, aren't really what they externally seem to be. It can be disheartening. True sants are Bhai Mani Singh, Bhai Taru Singh, Baba Deep Singh etc. How many of these so called Babe are openly boycotting Badal and educating the masses against Badal, none. In fact there doing the opposite and giving him votes. But we are to blame, with give these babe Sant titles, they get pumped and get bloated with Ego.

  9. No surprises. All people want is power and at any cost. Look at the Middle East, thousands die in peaceful protests.

  11. Looking at the wider issue am I wrong in saying that the people of Panjab (not those who usually face the brunt of these tactics from the security forces) have themselves to blame for voting in time-after-time the same diseased politicians who have no desire to help Sikhs live a free and peaceful existence but actually oppress them even further? I know many will ask "What's the alternative?" and I'm inclined to agree but how many times does a person need to be electrocuted in order to realise not to touch an electric fence if you know what I mean? Do the wider population keep these people in power because they believe things will be better next time? Or are the voting systems fair and transparent to begin with? Although from personal experience each time I've been to Panjab I can safely say that the majority's "bhudhi" (mind) is severely "presht" (dead or unable to function) and they really don't know right from wrong anymore. There's pockets of decent Sikhs here and there but on the whole the people are just completely messed up - and I'm not referring to any of the poverty-stricken population. Again various socio-economic factors may have contributed to this situation but then you look at the aforementioned people who aren't giving in to their base tendencies and you think "If they can live with honour and integrity, why can't you?". Apologies if I've digressed and taken the conversation down a different avenue, but I firmly believe that until the population sort themselves out, the politicians and other associated parties will have nothing but contempt for them. Those brave enough to stand-up and not be intimidated - like the Singhs in the above article - cannot do this on their own. It requires more than a few groups of Sikhs to make a change. To rectify this situation it will require a wholesale change in the mass consciousness of the people.

  13. A Sikh is required to be optimistic and ready to face and address the problems; He should be courageous and ready to sacrifice for righteous cause. Passiveness, gloominess, despair and depression has no place in Sikh life. A Sikh always looks for the bright side, whether win or lose by how he interprets and reacts to everything that happens. He welcomes every day as it comes, and give it all he has got. He puts anger, sadness and regret behind. He always offers a helping hand and a comforting ear to all those in distress. A Sikh always remains in Charhdi Kala at all the times and under all the circumstances by submitting to the Will of God (Bhana). He prays for peace, prosperity and well-being of human race irrespective of caste color and creed. Under all the circumstances, while in Charhdi Kala, a Sikh must surrender before Will of God (Bhana Manana) and spread fragrance of blooming flowers of Sikh philosophy in this pretty, charming and beautiful world. taken from gurmat.info

  17. "Guru Panth Khalsa" I accept your views and have answered questions to the best of my knowledge. Im not here to challenge yourself or anybody, more so the opposite (especially lie - as i refrain from such acts). I want to stand beside you all, not Against you to create any divide. I'll firstly answer your question: NOW ANSWER ME.... will mentioning the names of those who gave up everything for you really divide the Sangat? I agree with you, NO...mentioning any Shaheeds names in front of the Sangat would not create a divide. If you recall, Amrik Singh Gill also corrected the Stage Secretary in front of the Sangat - and im sure that the Stage Secretary has now realised his Gaalthi and will learn from it for the future. In fact, Amrik Singh Gill spoke so passionately about the Shaheed Singhs - that I would now find it hard to believe that Anybody would not now remeber these Brave people. Kuldeep Singh Dhesi also had a jab at the Secretary Sahib for not mentioning the Shaheeds names - so im sure now he will take this into consideration for next time. As you know - we Sikhs are very forgiving - even though theres so much Pride people have - we still Denounce this Pride and thank people like Amrik Singh, Kuldeep Singh and fellow speakers. Im sure the Stage Secretary have enough Sense to take the hints and change their thoughts. I personally think that the Stage Secretary at Leamington and Warwick is very good at this job, as he has plenty of knowledge on the Sikh Kaum - his speeches for every occasion on Stage are well composed and he doesnt just string a load of words together to fill up time. Im not being funny, but i know Amritdhaari people that would fit well into a committee background, as they would take on daily duties and carry out Sewa for the benefit of Sangat and Gurdwara. On the other hand, I know some Amritdhaari people that are unable to practice what they believe - some that dont partake in any Sewa when they go to the Gurdwara. I can give exactly the same example for "Moneh" Sangat too. So i dont entirely agree with you that each member of a Gurdwara Committee has to be Amritdhaari. I know where you are coming from though - you would like the members of the committee to have some remote Maryada on the Sikh Kaum and Practice what is being Preahced. My fear is that we would not like to drive away Non Amritdhaari individuals from partaking in Gurdwara Sewa. Im saying this with my hand on my heart - from what i have seen from each and every member of the Leamington and Warwick Committee (each and every year) - they all have best intentions for the running of the Gurdwara Sahib. IF YOU Disagree - this is where Difference in Opinion comes in - Where people are adamant to have things done thier own way. Its very harsh to label the current committee "Anti Panthic" - thats such a bold statement. Also - Im not directing an insult in your direction or trying to belittle you in any way: BUT Why did you NOT stand up in front of the Sangat on Sunday when the Stage Secretary announced that NOBODY has every vowed to hold an Akhand Paath for Indra Gandhi??? Surely - this was your Opportunity to Challenge the Committee and point out that they are Wrong? How come you quietly sat down with the rest of Us & did not Contest the Statement made from the Stage Secretary. I did say in my earlier posts that a Jakaraa was Voiced straight after to Accept the Stage Secretarys claims. How come you have still carried out these accusations over the Internet & Not in the Sangat??? Im just curious to know why? Because people reading here are 50 / 50 as to believe these harsh and unrealistic claims. Please dont take this personally - but I think the downfall of any committee will Be Statements that you have made. These "old men" have had their turn, you should look to the future now and get ready to be part of the Gurdwara committees for yourself. Make your mark then - when you have the chance to organise the Gurdwara on a daily basis. I dont know if you have already been on the committee already? "GurpsSinghAujla" Also, the first thing i think of when someone mentions the Leamington Gurdwara to me is (apart from its grand design) the amazing art work...the massive photos of Banda Singh Bahadur and Mai Bhago (in the stairwells)...i have not seen such grand paintings with attached timelines in any other Gurdwara in the UK....so, what message are the committee members trying to give, when they say that there is no way they will allow anyone to speak about anyone but the Gurus? To me, the message is that they built this Gurdwara Sahib as a tourist attraction. Almost as a museum. As a gallery. As a picture of sikhism to the mainstream. Forgetting the very meaning of a Gurdwara sahib....that it is our Gurus house. End of. What a very bad judgement that committee member made who said no one but the Gurus would be spoken about... I half sympathise where you are coming from - but I dont think anybody treats Leamington & Warwick Gurdwara Sahib as a museum. Yes, the paintings are Amazing and have Great presence. Maybe its best to have a one on one convo with that particular member of the committee to ask his views on the great icons, rather then speak about his judgement here - where he cannot defend himself? I dont know, just a thought. Please do not take offence to any opinions / views i have left, these are not my intentions. Bhul Chukk Maaf Karna Ji Waheguru Ji Ka Khalsa Waheguru Ji Ke Fateh

  18. I honestly do not see the point of whether or not the coming of Guru Maharaj and Sikhi was foretold by anyone. It makes no difference to the shan and mahan of both Gurujee and Sikhi whether or not it was foretold. Ancient texts whether hebrew and whether classical sanskrit rend themselves to a variety of interpretations over which scholars of religion argue as they defend their individual interpretations according to their own school of thought. The understanding of the the greatness of Guru Nanak Dev is to be acquired through reading Gurbani and following Sikhi not by dabbling in past prophecies of other religions as interesting as they sound. We do not live to, up our ego, that our Guru's coming was foretold. Rather we humble ourselves by living as Sikhs of Gurujee. Our vishwas has to be built upon our understanding of Gurbani, not by peeking into the prophesies of others, whose motives can at best be suspect. It is not what others prophesy about your birth that is important, it is what you do after being born that really matters.

  19. 1. What will you do? My first step would be to find a cabinet of chardikala gursikhs with full knowlege who must at least know the nitnem banis kant as well as the meanings of all the banis and must be touched with the message. My second step would be to gather a meeting of sarbatt khalsa and sent up jathas in every country so that there will always be communication on Sikh issues and we can unite easily. From these jathas build parcharaks in the old days sikhs used to live togather and for that reason we were united now Sikhs have forgotten the meaning of Khalsa and erveryone lives there own life. For example if a women sees a girl at the gurudwara she will think it is someone elses daughter. I want to clash this independent thinking and make it one panth where all our brothers and sisters. no more chugli and nindak . A sikh is a sikh n their alllegiance shud b to sikhi first. Guru sahin never cared about quantity only quality. So here is how the jathas would run - Money is put togather those who dont work do seva for the jatha - Children are taught togather the values of Sikhi - In these communities is a large gurudwara and parcharakhs which speak the language of the people in the place they are located - a gurudwara centers the community and is the place where all will recive meals etc and engage in seva learning and charity - these communites will be great centers for parupkareee and will work to do all sorts of seva for all people crossing all borders and always defend justice The reason behind this is that sikhism has always been about giving ones head to guru jis dharma to the naam. So this is to weed out those who truly want to follow the path and those who just want to goof around because if we don't we will never become strong In the past sikhs were always united and this will be true sangat because for the most part only those who truly love sikhi would be able to live in such a place where salaries are merged life runs on seva and the only misson is spreading goodness to humanity. Those people who are still stuck in dualty n rituals or who are more punjabi would not be attracted to such a lifestyle but those who are merged in simran and seva would and this type of simple life wiolll help kill ego and sangat sangat everywhere. Think about it , if u have ur community how easier is it for youth to stay on the right path, for women to wear keskis n keep kesh, for men to wear turbans, to combat the vikaars so for this reason i would issue hukamnamas that as much as possible sikhs stay in groups of jathas togather so they could support each other on the inside and support the world on the outside. I would make a rule that a Sikh is defined alone by rehit and love of Guru Sahib. I would get rid of association with jatha but not practices. for example a Sikh can follow whichever rehit they please , respect all mahapurakhs like sant ji and bhai randhir singh and baba nand ji and all these would come under one khalsa but no-one would have the right to call themselves taksali or akj instead. All Sikhs will respect and believe in the taksal for matters of studying gurbani and the best scholars versed in all great Gurubani teekas from our past and all history books will teach a curriculum and the Taksal will be responsible for all parchar. The nihung dal will be responsible for seva and for insuring that we are always ready to stand for dharam in the form of selfless service or jung. There will always be samagams and always all rehits will be tolerated and loved. in a family brothers and sisters disagree but we are all children of one parent. the khalsa too is the same. Stop bowing down at the feet of Badal and congress and all governments. Get rid of the shameful indian gov provided security guards, come on the jathedhar of akal thakat using security. Use the tons of money I have to do seva and parchar and Make the sgpc schools affordable and corruption free and have free tuition centers as well as the best most elite free hospitals in all Gurudwaras ( this is because education is a must for punjabs yputh and must schools are corrupt and unaffordable and the healthcare in india is a mess) education is the key for Sikhi to exel in the world. Have after school programs in every village. Allow bibia full freedom to do kirtan Have Prof Sahib Singh Jis teeka fully in english as well as other dharamic texts Pass a hukamnama to stop the printing of Birs of Guru Granth Sahib ( Gurbani will still be available to all in electronic format and/ or at Gurdwaras) if there is museebat like a Sikh lives far away than each case will be revieved but limit where copies of Guru Sahib are (in order to stop beadbei) Make shelters seperate from Gurdwaras (so those who are intoxicated have a temporary support where they can turn around) Make a test for parcharaks as well as higher their pay make sure they are on the same page and ritual free (if they are bowing to statues and wearign red threads what will they preach to sangat?) Self rule - since when did sikhs start siding with julum sarkars? never from the time of Guru Nanak Dev Ji. We Sikhs are still the khalsa of the jot of Guru Nanak which is in gurbani. and the body of that jot is the khalsa forever and ever. In the old days we sikhs never gave taxes because the government was corrupt we were fearless and united. That is why we grew. Now we are scared and that is y we have lost power plain n simple. We chase after maya n fear death and dont connect with God. Those sikhs were jeeven mukath who cud kill them? We too must reach that state cause even if we dont have land yet who cares this earth belongs to waheguru this earth belongs to dharam and we are the defenders of true daya and dharam. Wherever we are we will never bow down. It is sad that guru sahib made akal thakat to be stronger than dehli thakat but we have bowed. Never anymore. 2. What major positive or negative changes you will plan to bring? Well i would make keski for females as well but not a kakaar tho. meaning it is required as much as it is for males because in my expirience i never felt more belonging to the guru thn i did the first day i wore a keski it is important for equality as well and will take our mothers away from the spirit of rituals and fasts to the spirit of being singhnees. well most of my changes are up there in number one the communities ect but i would make sure all sikhs had acsess to the best shastar as well and free kakaars always as this is a problem for indias poor i would run a free airline for sikhs ( the sgpc is rich enough) with flights going to amritsar always and if thats hard than a navy fleet where all could always come and do darshan anytime and once again the panth would be togather. these flights would be kirpaan accessible. 3. What will be your 4 major policies or your signature ideas Bringing the spirit on fearlessness n naam back into our panth as well as self sovereignty. Sikhs living in jathas all across the world and these jathas being run uniformly. Making sure the panth is united and communication limes are always open. Providing all basic needs (schools food hospitals healthcare) to all people (all of humanity ) in each gurudwara and lots los of parupkaar. 4. What changes will you prefer or plan to bring in SGPC? Use the budget for education and parupkaree and the airline and giving Sikhs Kakaars etc. Require a test be given and those who occupy the seats be adept in path, meanings Sikh history and philosophy. Make a test for those who vote as well because they too must be well informed in order to make the right choice. Right to vote will be a privilige only for those who are involved and know enough to make a wise choice. Jathas we have before in each one one leader will be apointed and two representatives who will fly to Amritsar each year and we will have a congress of them so that the needs of all sikhs are heard and addressed. Note the vote test will be open to the world because Khalsa isnt only in punjab anyone who passes the test will earn the right to vote period 5.
