Im a local member of Warwick and Leamington Sikh Gurdwara Sangat. I can clarify to ALL readers of this post, that words have been fabricated and exaggerated to mis-lead peoples views on how the Warwick and Leamington Sikh Gurdwara is run on a daily basis. I kindly urge ALL UK Sikh Sangat NOT to get too Excited by the material in this Thread. Im not here to call anybody a liar, as I don't believe i have the right to judge anybody (much the opposite). I am merely saying that there are certain differences in opinion between some members of the local Sangat here in Warwick and Leamington. To be honest - WHERE IS THERE NOT ANY DIFFERENCE OF OPINION - ANYWHERE THESE DAYS? How long can people differ with each other? What sort of example are you setting for the youngsters? Youth of Warwick & Leamington are Blessed to know that the Future is Bright and also feel that there is plenty of opportunity to LOVE one another and flourish with CHARDI KALAA. DIFFERENCE IN OPINION: This inevitably causes minor conflict between individuals. We are fortunate to have a MAJORITY UNITED LOCAL SANGAT that are SEHMAT of each others opinions and respect each other as a whole - which is how Sangat should be everywhere. I only look back two days ago to Sri Guru Nanak Dev Jis Gurpurab, to witness how the entire Local Sangat stuck together to support each other for such an auspicious occasion. We are UNITED as a whole and wish to remain UNITED and GROW STRONGER to educate our YOUTH, which are fortunate to have such a Beautiful Gurdwara in the Local Community. Coach loads of people from ALL DIFFERENT Backgrounds still come to visit the Warwick & Leamington Gurdwara on a DAILY / WEEKLY Basis - each and every person walks away with LOVE in their Hearts and a Strong message to forward on to their Family & Friends - This paints more of a realistic Picture of the current State of our Beloved Local Gurdwara. He doesn't even beleive in Jaap Sahib as Bani yet you think he holds some kind of authoritative status amongst us that we should listen to what he has to say about a subject LOL Try to back up your arguement with some real scholars/academics instead of these fake professors who have never seen the gates of a real collage. Doing a study of a 2 year course and then calling yourself a professor does not make you a real professor.

HAHA, bhai Sahib did a great job. Nishant Sharma thought he's brave attacking a chained lion with police around him, but in the end he just got slapped himself. What we should also notice is how Bhai Havara has shown that Khalsa should be tyar bar tyar always. He anticipated an attack and got ready to make a fool out of the attacker instead.

"Guru Panth Khalsa" Bhenji / Bhaji I cannot tarnish the whole current commitee with the same brush. I personally know a few members of the current committee and believe they are decent human beings. Those i am talking about, do their best to make sure the Gurdwara Sahib is running smoothly on a regular basis. For those i do not know, i can not speak about. I was at the election that you are referring to with regards to swearing etc - personally i thought it was disgusting from many people - young and old - they way they were standing in the Darbaar saahib and raising their voices in front of Sri Guru Granth Sahib Ji. I do not agree with that behaviour at all. I will be the 1st person to lie down in front of anybodies car - for them to run me over as many times as they like - this is if they think they will be allowed to bring any meat or sharaab into a proposed function hall (Old Gurdwara Shaib). I will still get UP and say NO to any Meat and Sharaab that comes into any hall. Meat and Sharaab will be strictly out of bounds for this proposed function hall. Im sure the whole sangat can get together and maintain the same stance. I think the idea behind the change of the current selection process of a new committee was to make sure that voting was more accurrate as opposed to previous years. Asking local sangat to make a photo id card, thus proving that they actually come from the local town & getting a majority vote for new members of a newly selected committee. I personally have made a few suggestions to the current committee and they have listened and took those changes on board. I've also been rejected a few suggestions too. I only knew when i sat down and talked to them personally. I wouldnt say its a shambles, its more about COMMUNICATION. Talking and reasoning with one another will get voices heard and opinions aired much more effectively then Internet posts! I mean this with Pyaar. Im guessing that you are part of the YOUTH, which is the same as me. All i say is stick together as its our turn next. We need to the past behind us and work to a solid future. Look at how lucky we are with our Beautiful Gurdwara Sahib, its the key and Hub of our local and wider future. Oh Dear - does anyone in their right mind believe a gurdwara would hold a Sri Akhand Path Sahib for Indira Ghandi !!!???? The original poster on this thread stated this as fact full well knowing that would stoke up justifiable anger should such a plan be true - one has to question the motives behind these statements. My understanding there are differences of opinion in Leamington Gurdwara however these are being talked through. When you are not capable of engaging in debate, in desperation you resort to fabrication and lies Sad times indeed.

the answer is no difference. differences are made by haters. maryada is only one and what is not being followed by any of these groups is what they are missing. Just like every person is not same therefore people like different stuff and they associate them with different jathebandia of their interests. People who love sangti roop kirtan in a way that more and more bani is read regardless of certain strict style of singing and in an easy and attractive way from beginner level ability to understand and create interest in kirtan to advance level of getting rass from bani in sangti-kirtani roopi form, best fit themselves in AKJ, people who get anand from listening katha of gurbani and learning pure pronunciation of gurbani associate them selves to taksal and guru pyare who like shastar vidya like to be associated with nihang dals. but these jathebandia are not limited to what I have mentioned however they are specialized in these functions. Just like every country has the air force, army and navy, same way our religion has different jathebandies who are committed to Sikh panth and doing seva. This does not mean that akj do not listen to katha or take part in shastar vidya or taksal does not sing kirtan or so shastar vidya or nihang singhs do not sing kirtan or learn santhya. everyone takes part in everything according to their interests. There were never any disagreements between jathebandies back in the days and mahapurashs of every jathebandi used to give 100 percent satkar to each other regardless of any minor differences between vichaars. But now days I see retard people disrespecting other jathebandies openly as they think themselves higher than the mukhies of jathebandies who never insulted each other.

I have read on this message board certain sant followers post statements by such and such so-called "mahapurakhs" and "brahmgianis" that believed that these devi/devtaas reside in SachKhand have no idea what SachKhand is. If one can not rid their own ego, then how can reach such a place as SachKhand? Gurbani is clear these devi/devtas have done a lot of jap/tap, but are nowhere near the level of Guru Sahiban or Gursikhs.

Bhai sahib is a true son of Guru Gobind SIngh Maharaj- a gift from maharaj to show us what the true example of khalsa is- maharaj kirpa kare and bless us with more chardikala singhs like bhai sahib.

This is a very sensitive issue and the facts need to be confimred before randomly sending around messages like this. I have just spoken to someone in the committee there and and as it appears the ex-comittee and present are using this senitive issue to put each other down. He said that they were NOT planning to hold an akhand paath for Indiara Gandhi and they were not going stop the akhand path at the weekend for the shaheeds, but the issue was around the orgniasers putting posters. The commiittee dont allow anyone to put posters up. If anyone local has any more info would be appreicieated. All i am saying is dont jump to conclusions before getting the facts right.
