  1. Choice of every person and depends on your region. Sikhs duties include keep hair clean, comb regularly with kanga and dispose dead hairs with respect. Always cover your head as prescribed by our religious code of conduct. Sikhs wear the turban out of love and as a mark of commitment to the faith. In simple terms "Wonderful God" We use word "Gutka Sahib"; from which Sikhs suppose to read daily morning and evening prayers. There is no ritual of doing our daily prayers in front of any picture but again we all have our own style to live our life. Our main basic core requirement is to handle 'Gutka Sahib' with utmost respect, cover it after done and always handle with clean hands. Chain thing is called "mala" which many find helpfull doing simran (like tap counter we have on our phones). Simran = repeating gurmantar "Waheguru, waheguru.... "

  2. mohinderpal jio this sounds like not a big deal to ask devi devte for little things according to your sakhi but in gurbani this kind of idea has no support rather we listen and read completely opposite to the moral of your sakhi. Toumah(i) Chhaad(i) Koiavar Na Dhyaaoon|| Jo Bar Chahon Su Toumte Paaoon|| I may remember none else except Thee; and obtain all the required boons from Thee; The commitment of a sikh is just with his Guru, Guru is Samrath, which means he wont say NO to your little ardases. A sikh is supposed to do ardas for every little to big thing he does in his life like leaving house for a long drive or usually i have seen people who start their cars to go to work in the morning or even go outside in the evening, with their palms pressed they say "waheguru saheya paatshah tera hi aasra rakhea kari" and many other little prayers like that. Something also like "Maharaj sachey paatshah jio kirpa karo I need this thing I need more maya" things like that, now someone according to your sakhi would say for more maya we should simple do Luxmi Devi's pooja, if we going for a cruise we shud just do ardas in feet of Khawaja since hes the god of ocean. This way you will end up remembering millions of little servants of Akal Purakh. And no where in gurbani you are told to do this. You are warned in gurbani to not to do this kind of stuff. These devi devte cannot do things with their own will. Even though u do ardas in front of these little powers who are in fear and under Hukam of Waheguru, they cannot save you if it is not Waheguru's Will. ਸਲੋਕ ਮਃ ੧ ॥ Shalok, First Mehl: ਭੈ ਵਿਚਿ ਪਵਣੁ ਵਹੈ ਸਦਵਾਉ ॥ Bhai Vich Pavan Vehai Sadhavaao || In the Fear of God, the wind and breezes ever blow. ਭੈ ਵਿਚਿ ਚਲਹਿ ਲਖ ਦਰੀਆਉ ॥ Bhai Vich Chalehi Lakh Dhareeaao || In the Fear of God, thousands of rivers flow. ਭੈ ਵਿਚਿ ਅਗਨਿ ਕਢੈ ਵੇਗਾਰਿ ॥ Bhai Vich Agan Kadtai Vaegaar || In the Fear of God, fire is forced to labor. ਭੈ ਵਿਚਿ ਧਰਤੀ ਦਬੀ ਭਾਰਿ ॥ Bhai Vich Dhharathee Dhabee Bhaar || In the Fear of God, the earth is crushed under its burden. ਭੈ ਵਿਚਿ ਇੰਦੁ ਫਿਰੈ ਸਿਰ ਭਾਰਿ ॥ Bhai Vich Eindh Firai Sir Bhaar || In the Fear of God, the clouds move across the sky. ਭੈ ਵਿਚਿ ਰਾਜਾ ਧਰਮ ਦੁਆਰੁ ॥ Bhai Vich Raajaa Dhharam Dhuaar || In the Fear of God, the Righteous Judge of Dharma stands at His Door. ਭੈ ਵਿਚਿ ਸੂਰਜੁ ਭੈ ਵਿਚਿ ਚੰਦੁ ॥ Bhai Vich Sooraj Bhai Vich Chandh || In the Fear of God, the sun shines, and in the Fear of God, the moon reflects. ਕੋਹ ਕਰੋੜੀ ਚਲਤ ਨ ਅੰਤੁ ॥ Koh Karorree Chalath N Anth || They travel millions of miles, endlessly. ਭੈ ਵਿਚਿ ਸਿਧ ਬੁਧ ਸੁਰ ਨਾਥ ॥ Bhai Vich Sidhh Budhh Sur Naathh || In the Fear of God, the Siddhas exist, as do the Buddhas, the demi-gods and Yogis. ਭੈ ਵਿਚਿ ਆਡਾਣੇ ਆਕਾਸ ॥ Bhai Vich Aaddaanae Aakaas || In the Fear of God, the Akaashic ethers are stretched across the sky. ਭੈ ਵਿਚਿ ਜੋਧ ਮਹਾਬਲ ਸੂਰ ॥ Bhai Vich Jodhh Mehaabal Soor || In the Fear of God, the warriors and the most powerful heroes exist. ਭੈ ਵਿਚਿ ਆਵਹਿ ਜਾਵਹਿ ਪੂਰ ॥ Bhai Vich Aavehi Jaavehi Poor || In the Fear of God, multitudes come and go. ਸਗਲਿਆ ਭਉ ਲਿਖਿਆ ਸਿਰਿ ਲੇਖੁ ॥ Sagaliaa Bho Likhiaa Sir Laekh || God has inscribed the Inscription of His Fear upon the heads of all. ਨਾਨਕ ਨਿਰਭਉ ਨਿਰੰਕਾਰੁ ਸਚੁ ਏਕੁ ॥੧॥ Naanak Nirabho Nirankaar Sach Eaek ||1|| O Nanak, the Fearless Lord, the Formless Lord, the True Lord, is One. ||1|| So I think that we shudnt just follow this sakhi because this sounds cool that this is kind of respect we do by not bothering waheguru for little things but it is complete MANMATT. This is duality, search ਦੂਜੈ ਭਾਇ on http://www.searchgurbani.com/guru_granth_sahib/search and you will find countless updeshs of waheguru. one of them ਮਨਮੁਖੁ ਅੰਧਾ ਦੂਜੈ ਭਾਇ ਲਾਗੈ ॥ Manamukh Andhhaa Dhoojai Bhaae Laagai || The blind self-willed manmukhs are attached to the love of duality. this duality is not just referring to worshipping devi devte but also has a lot more meanings. But this devi devte worship for own meanings is also duality. Simple thing in conclusion A SIKH IS NEVER SUPPOSED TO BEG ANYONE EXCEPT WAHEGURU. Hope all this makes clear sense to everyone. Hopefully there will be no negative replies as this is pretty straightforward thing to understand.

  3. I think without doubt the biggest threat and problem facing Sikhism are Sikh women/girls. They are really bringing Sikhism into shame with their promiscuous nature and doubt right un moral, un loyal behavior and disgracing all Sikhs with their treacherous actions. Many of These so called Sikh girls/women are hitting new lows every day and new levels of depravity. These girls have no limits at how low they can go and disgrace our religion. From selling drugs for their Muslim Bfs, to helping Muslim gangs with their criminal activities. To marrying Muslims terrorists in the UK.. Running away from home and converting to Islam and giving Extremist Muslims more ammunition to use in their conversion missions AGAINST Sikhs. Its well reported that one of the London bomb plotters was married to a Sikh girl. They are well and truly the true enemy within Sikhism. And have potential to cause Sikhism more damage from the inside. I wouldnt be surprised if Bin laden had a few Sikh wifes, thats how unbelievable and shocking these girls/women have become. It doesnt matter how many Sikhs are out their. 1 Sikh is worth a million. They have given Sikhism such a bad name and made a Sikhs a laughing stock of the Asian community. The problem might exist in other faiths but none can ever match the lowly lows and utter down right dishonorable, shameless behavior of a large number of Sikh females. While Muslim and Hindu girls always love their religion, family and community first and put them first before everything. On the other hand you have Sikh females who do the exact opposite. They put Muslims before their own family, parents, religion and dont give it a seconds thought. And then when the Muslim dude has his fun and leaves the Sikh girl on her own. They come running back. I dont want to offend anyone in this post and dont want to tarnish all the good Sikh women/girls out there . And I respect the majority of the Sikh women. But just stating the facts. In any religion its the women who play one of the most important roles. Read this and remembervit, Dont bring anymore shame on our beautiful religion. Dont dishouor your families, your religion and your community. Waheguru Ji Ka Khalsa Waheguru Ji Ki Fateh

  6. I got to agree with the original poster and SarabhaPunjab Jee. Amongst non Sikhs (namely Hindus and Muslims), our girls have a reputation that is not good. They are known to be very easy. Unfortunately Sikh girls are attractive, as a result they are prime targets. But what is really sad is how they reject Sikh boys because of Daari and Pagh, but will go to any other boy from other religions who basically just wants to take advantage of them. I agree with Paneer monster Jee who said that we need to stop beleiving and propagating that all religions are equal and lead to the same place. This absurd notion may sound all fine and impressive to the PC world, but it is causing a lot of confusion, especially amongst Sikh females who think they they do not need to be so loyal to their religion since all religions are equal and going out with a Muslim or Hindu guy okay since Sikhi says all religions are equal. I agree with this. This is the only way. Plus we seriously need to rethink the way we raise our girls. We need to bring them up with religious yet conservative values instead of the liberal bs we have been raising them with. Dandahs will have to be used brother. NO OTHER WAY

  7. These interfaith mariages happening in the gurdwara, aren't our OWN people to blame here for carrying out such marriages that are against Sikh principles? Sometimes people don't want help, they would rather turn a blind a eye to whats happening. It's the gurdwara responsbility to be strict on such issues otherwise we ail have incidents where Sikhs will marry Muslims in a gurdwara I mean there was a case I think a few years back at ramgharia gurdwara in Birmingham for allowing this marriage! It's not anyones fault but our OWN people. How does anyone expect the younger generation like us to believe this act is right if we have granthi, reallly religious people who we look up to for guidence and more knowledge of sikhsim to perfrom anand karaj not Sikhs marrying Sikhs but Muslims/Hindus/gore etc? What is the young generation going to think? This is our own errors within our own communties, we are so tied up in work and money that it becomes a greed, we are out all hours earning while our children are out earning a different agenda mixing around with peope they shouldn't, let's face it everyone knows whats right and whats wrong. Education does partly come into it but this is not always the case if we don't care about whats happning on our doorstep how we going teach a whole generation? Things like this happen because now we care more about money than promoting a true way of life of Sikhism. We have no fear, everything is too easy in this world we see we get regardless of who gets hurt in the process. It's like people lose self respect for parents/family because they don't put fear into girls/boys hence they get away with anything. Who needs enemies when our Sikhs are turning against our OWN people?

  8. I have to agree with the OP. My experience only - our women are letting the side down big time. There was a wedding recently where there was a violation of Sri Akal Takt marayda. a Gora was marrying an apni in anand karaj at a Gurdwara that had already passed the resolution that only a Sikh will marry a Sikh. It was an "undercover" wedding, but singhs found out and there was a confrontation. The girls mother, an punjabi born aunty, whos parents are keshdari, who is also a regular gurdwara goer said "you singhs are nothing, my daughter is marrying a GORA! and hes a SOLICITOR" and you lot are kachey pakeh.. meaning illegal immigrants. The lads were all educated, mostly Gursikh uk born. This is the Girls MOTHER.. and the daughter was shouting out "smelly singhs, call the police on them!!" Even the girls dad and brothers seemed ashamed, didnt say a word. I've seen it time and time again.. our bibiyan, mothers and daughters are letting the side down big time. Even in india, theres areas of dehli where hindu guys brag about how easy sikh girls are, and they brag no "surd" (what these b*stard kachties call Sardars) marries a virgin. By no stretch of the imagination would i say our brothers are in any way perfect. but ratio's speak for themselves. Forget the Panth, or Sikhi.. most girls have ZERO loyalty to their own family. They will happily break evryones heart for abit of you know what.. its disgusting. I read alot of books, social science, physiology, etc etc.. and we can sit here come to a billion conclusions of what needs to be done; parchar, social upbringing.. blah blah... bottom line for me is... there's no fear. There was a time if a white girl walked into a pub with a black, they would both get lashed. Those days are gone, now what? 1000's of half caste babies to single mothers. When singhs stand up and have zero tolerance on those that betray their koum as well as those that want to p*ss about with our sisters, then we will see change. dandeh naal kum hoana - no other way

  9. Sikhs biggest threat are panj chhor... but yes you are right, history has shown that we have had trators but more inportantly we have had amazingg inspirational gursikhs in the panth which has outweighed all of the negative points listed here today. fact remains, Sikhi is a threat to islam in a positive way because: - we offer a universal brotherhood - we offer a equality between all groups, sexes, etc - slavery is not exclusivly permitted in sikhi - we dont have a caste system where (7) heavens is concernd lol - we dont have a desire for materialistic things on earth or heaven - we are are compatible with living in the future - this included men and women! - in sikhi you will never find singhs debating whether or not kaurs should be allowed to drive a car!! - we are not given bashk to lie in sikhi - Sikhs see God in all - we defend the rights of all - sikhi doesnt have sexual motives to make you behave your self (muslims believe theres virgins (72 infact) in heaven and PERL EYED BVOYS!!?!! - wine and virgins in heaven sounds to me more like a drunken orgy to me. - Gurbani is wrote by the Guru's them selfs - yes.... our Gurus could read and write! one way how muslims gain converts in by insisting that every religions founders / prominant figures were islamic : moses, jesus, veds predicted mohammed coming etc etc (these are all things muslims propagate). many muslims say guru nanak dev ji was muslim in an attempt to make sikhs convert. never in history has 1 man been claimed by so many different faith communities (hindus, muslims even budhists say guru sahib was in incarnation of the buddha)..... muslims beg until theyre red in the face that guru sahib was a muslim!.... this is how amazing the jewel of gursikhi is... it will always be looked upon with jelous eyes. even now one singht old me muslims are trying to say that 10th guru sahib was a muslim!! LOL... theyre trying it big time. if a muslim trys to convert you just say "gold, silk and virgins dont keep poeple content in this world, how would it keep poeple happy in heaven?" - here they will flop. bottom line is it is permitted by the hadiths that muslim men can marry non muslim women however muslim women are only allowed to marry one muslim man who she may need to share with 3 other wives. in islam a man can have a 5th wife if he decides to devorce one of the 4 pervious wives.

  10. Well im just stating the facts. Its a big problem and it needs to be addressed. Personaly I dont think theres much that we can do about it. As parenting is up to the parents. And if they dont raise their kids with good morals then theres not alot that we can do. personaly I love my religion and dont get me wrong. Its not a jealousy issue, or I cant get a GF myself ive had many gf's which is wrong but I never converted for someone else, or helped any criminals, or sold drugs for others and didnt date or marry any muslim terrorist, which is what alot of Sikh girls do like its the norm for them. I think these girls just need to wake up and have some self respect. Its just the actions of other Sikhs ends up giving us all a bad name.

  14. No even the demi gods pray to become human for the chance to become jivan mukht and one with the Lord. When one prays to a devi devta, our amrit goes to them, we make them more powerful, we basically give them our bhagti which belongs to Us and God. We are to worship none but Akal Purak Ji- The demi gods are never regarded as no different to the lord himself, but the Brahmgyani is. We are All here to become Brahmgyani, whether we choose to grab this oppertunity or not is a different story. The man who prayed to the demi god was a fool (I am also).

  15. ^^^we decide through veechaar basically. when we do jaap of a shabad, or any kind of jaap, its function is to 'anhad vuj' the shabad. we have to know within ourselves without doubt, that the shabad is metaphorical or not. getting there is hard enough but doing veechaar within our mun is harder. its basically like searching our feelings or reflecting within our own self. and that is easy at times, and hard too.

  16. WJKK WJKF Japji Sahib - straight forward Jaap Sahib - straight forward Chaupai Sahib - in my gutka, the morning Chaupai Sahib is different. It doesn't start with "hamri karo hath de racha..." it starts with "pranvo ad ekankara..." what is this? Why is it also named Chaupai Sahib? Am I meant to read this at amritvela or the other Chaupai Sahib? Why have I never heard about this and what's the story behind it? Tav Prasad - pretty straight forward although I find it really hard to pronounce. Rehras Sahib - in my gutka, Rehras doesn't start with the line about Prahalad. Why is that bit missing?! Also, Chaupai Sahib comes into it, and that's followed by "mundavani mahala 5... thal vich tinn vastu paio..." and a range of other short shabads. Are these part of Chaupai Sahib or Rehras Sahib? I'm very confused. Anand Sahib - ok, so I've gathered that the whole of Anand Sahib should be read in the morning, then in the evening a shorter version. But what is this short version? Reading it in my gutka in the evening, I don't know where to stop!! Ardas - at what point do you give your own part of the Ardas? At the very end or before "Nanak naam chardi kala..."? What is the part sung before Ardas and after it called?! It isn't in my gutka, please help! What prayer do you have to say before you eat food? What shabad and where do I find it? Thank you WJKK WJKF

  18. The tut from the shabad of Bhagat Kabeer Ji (on page 1377) is actually about the excesses of the rich and is taken out of context, however regardless of that, coming back to the topic, absorbing any chemicals that can effect the functioning of the body adversely without benefiting the health of the individual goes against common sense. Some people on this forum (you know who you are!!) seriously need to pick up a book on human biology and read the sections on drugs and nutrients....(oh and reading the sections on evolution and genetics wouldn't go a miss either!). The lack of basic school-level scientific knowledge amongst some people is shocking.

  20. Again search online to see if there are many jobs in your field of IT in Italy. I'm thinking unless you speak fluent Italian it maybe hard to get a professional job as you may getaway with just English but you would still need to have a working knowledge of Italian. As someone has already stated most Punjabis in Italy have farming or other manual jobs. You are better of doing your current job I think. Doing your current job may get paid less by converting Euros to Rupees but then think of the cost of living, quality of life, work life balance and the amount of disposable income you will have. I think a softwar engineer in India is better than a manual worker in Italy.

  21. Some of this depends on families and background. Most middle aged migrant Sikh men tie their beards. It is felt by some that a tied up beard is a more professional, refined, educated image. To be honest, most young Sikhs dont really like to tie up their beards and prefer to keep them open. I once asked a white co-worker of mine, what do they think looks better. If my beard is tied up or open. They replied that they never really look, and never really notice the difference lol Tbh, most of the people that make comments about what turban style looks better, or what beard style looks better are other Singhs. It just doesnt really register on most other peoples radar. Often it is other people, including parents concerns and worries about finding rishtay and their children succeeding in a professional environment that triggers them to pass judgment on whether a beard should be tied or not. Personally, I find tying up a beard time consuming and unnatural. Both me and my brother have open beards. We both have ladies in our lives and we have always attracted female attention, both from white and Indian girls. Both of us work in top professional environments and having Sikhi saroop has only enhanced our lives, rather than held us back. As to your family stating whether or not you should have a tied up or open beard.. I would just regard that as parental interference. Just like mums and dads tell you what clothes to wear, what degree to study, and how to live the rest of your life. As a wise man once said, 'opinions are like a - holes, everybody has got one' You just have to be yourself and do what is comfortable to you and live your own life. That is an attractive quality in it self... as is the ability to shrug off critiscism.. dont take what other people say too seriously and just be confident in yourself.

  22. Let me state two issues i have with niddars ideology...1) it has hooked youth onto alcohol, opium and cannabis...my proof of this is my good friend who was a chardi kala singh who happened to attend one of niddars classes..and that was it..he started hanging around with his crew...and few months down the line...he is on heroin and is a harcore alci..he also has cut off his kesh and now attends the mandir morre than he does gurdwara.. i single handedly blame niddar for the loss of one of my good friends...soo its personal...2) HIs contiinous insults against Sant Jarnail singh ji khalsa Bhindranwale and the Kharkoo Shaheeds...This is a insult which i cannot tolerate...its funny these people didnt have the balls to say anything during the peak of Khalistani Kharkoo Lehar....because they knew they would of got blasted...no amount of shastar vidya can stop a bullet lol..they're brave now?..but how brave would they be if Baba Manochal, Nihang Avtar singh Bhrama, Gurjant Singh Bhudhsinghwala (Nang Killer), etc were standing infront of them with the rest of the AK47 wale behind them.....Niddar Chele if you want to insult people...atleast do it to their face while they are alive or better come confront the Kharkoo youth face to face....and then we can settle it!

  25. gurfateh! chaupi sahib is the standard name of the 4th bani of nitnem. the name of this bani is actually, "benti" and not chaupi, as chaupi is the name of a chand. just like dohara is, and rooaal, and orlaal etc.. - there are talks to standardise this bani name to "benti sahib" and has been inplemented in some places. pranvo aad.... is the start of the akaal ustat. before before before ( : ) ), there was talks (in the spgc) to remove bania (i.e. decrease the nitnem). saying that benti chaupi and anand sahib came in the reheraas, and only need to do japji shaib jaap sahib and amrit savayyae ( aka tav prasaad savayyae aka sudhaa savayyae. this was another one of those talks where 'pranvo aad ekangkaara' was wrongfully debated to be the 'chaupi' to be recited. now, accepted everywhere, its benti chaupi (hamri karo up untill chaupi ko kehe - some stop at dusht dokh te leho bachaaee which is wrong) as the 4th bani. - hope this clear.. :happybouncer: with reheraaas sahib, there is 5 main parts. on these parts, you can increase them as much as u want. but u can never reduce these 5 parts. the first, so dar, second, so purakh, third benti chaupi, 4th the lil anand sahib and 5th the mundavni , which comes at the end of guru maharaaj b4 the M:9 salork , (generally up untill sagale dookh jaae). the chaupi is normally increased, as is the anand sahib. some ppl do all 40 pauris of anand sahib, normally, the lil anand sahib is the first 5 pauris, plus the last pauri, and this is what is done generally. the way that the chaupi sahib is increased, is that a bit before the 'kabyo baach benti chaupi' is read, and a bit after it is also read. taksaal start at pun raachas ka kaata seesa. naanak sar start 1 pauri before taksaal at bahur asur ka kaatas matha. and the nihangs start all the way before, from the dohara, mahakaal ki sharan je pare... its all chaupi as the base is the benti chaupi, same as in the nitnem. and there are various lengths after benti chaupi, jus get a 'beant banya da gutka' and ull c. or a taksaali gutka at that... so normally, the reheraas is full in tha, its got reheraas at the end etc.. bottommm line is that the 5 parts that are read, cannot be cut shout. ardaas: you do it when you say, 'aap ji di hajoor de vich...' then say, nitnem ji ki ardaas hai. or, keertan ji ki etc.... or reheraas sahib ji ki etc etc etc... the bit before the ardaas is in sukhmani sahib, and the bit after is qU Twkuru qum pih Ardwis ] jIau ipMfu sBu qyrI rwis ] qum mwq ipqw hm bwirk qyry ] qumrI ik®pw mih sUK Gnyry ] koie n jwnY qumrw AMqu ] aUcy qy aUcw BgvMq ] sgl smgRI qumrY sUiqR DwrI ] qum qy hoie su AwigAwkwrI ] qumrI giq imiq qum hI jwnI ] nwnk dws sdw kurbwnI ]8]4] copy n paste this into word n conver it into gurmukhi script, or search in "sikhi to the max 2" search engine. - if u aint got it, get it. over the food, there are a variery of shanads that can serve this purpose. guru ji says that those who eat without remembering god, are silly and a beast. so it can suffise to do a mool mantar to naanak hosi bhi such, and 5 vahegurus. but, ppl say tera ditta khaavna tu data dataaar hai. then say the last bit of jaap sahib 'chatur chakra varti.. up till abhangang bhiboote' then saeyee pyaare milne.. etc (the last bit of the standard ardaas). taksaal have said that its good to do "XYZ" over the food as in, a specified number of shabads. its ovb not too long.. gota eat innit :laugh2: i can find a pic of summin that i took a pic of on what to do over food n post it here if u wana. but naam mantar is plenty before you eat. hope has helped u can msg me/ email me if u dint get anything or what have u.. sat sat sat sat sat kar jaaneeyaho! :yeehaw:

  26. There's a difference between truth and slander. If someone like Kalyug Singh brings the truth the table and it's so "kauri" to digest, it doesn't make it slander at all. I would think about acknowledging this as a slander thread if anyone seriously tried to refute how Kalyug exposes the sanatan hindu rss ideology that niddar is trying to sell with his Oriental/gatka mix martial art. If Niddar ever comes to California, i'll be more than happy to attend and talk/practice with him.

  30. I skimmed through the article. One thing I want to point out is we were born in this country and alot of our parents were too, mine included. So when describing people in the case of the article sex gangs and criminals; why does media need to describe criminals as Asian, Sikh, muslim, hindu etc? Why not just as criminals? You never read Christian sex gang, nor Scottish, Welsh, Irish etc. It comes down to skin colour. Example these Pakistani perverts mentioned in the article are born here in UK. The media describe them as Asian sex gang, the EDL wants to diffrentiate by labeling them as Pakistani or muslim. Why though? For example Europeans who immigrated to the UK, just say there kids who were then born here operated a sex gang would they be labelled as an European Sex gang, or German, French etc. whereever there parents were born? NO never they would just be a sex gang. So why if your skin colour is not white do people have to label you as Asian, Sikh etc. Even if your family has been here since the 40's, 50's or 60''s, and your parents are even born here.

  32. I bet there are also some 'GurMukhs' that don't believe that the whole of Sri Guru Granth Sahib Jee is Dhur kee Bannee. I bet there are some 'GurMukhs' that defile saroops of Sri Guru Granth Sahib Jee & i bet there are also some 'GurMukhs' that don't believe in Vaheguroo at all - but as you said "rightly so, as its each to their own" - let people throw Sri Guru Granth Sahib Jee's saroops in wells but hey...everyone's entitled to their opinion ...end of sarcasm! People need to wake up and differentiate between Sat [Truth] & Asat[Falsehood - Koorh]!

  33. I am guessing- through the shabads - that cannabis has a negative effect on the soul. This explains why Sikhi is against cannabis. I was also wondering if anyone has information on the medical problems and diseases associated with this drug.

  34. Pyare sikho! Great comments singh559 ji and HDSH ji. Lets ignore the above comment and continue with this Gurmat discussion (if you find our discussion hilarious babbersher ji then please explain why). These sort of comments are a waste of time and deflect the conversation somewhere else. Benti to posters, please keep to the topic and post meaningful posts, if you find our discussion amusing then its best to keep that to yourself or at least attempt to provide some sort of explanation. 35. on a sad note man.. We're such a tiny koum but sooo many of these weird cults, weirdos, dehdharis pakhandis, missionaris attacking and trying to convert the 15~20% of Punjabis who even care for faith.. its madness!

  36. well played Singh.. that whole snaatam stuff is bogus. Should put it up on a blogspot and push it around face book. It needs to be copied and pasted everywhere. Very well done

  37. I bet Kaljug did all this on his lunch break as well. Just goes to show how an an analytical and well informed person can easily see through the junk that is all around us.

  38. Totally agree - we need to wake up and realise that most of the time that sikhi was attacked was because of people with our own circles prtending to be 'Sikh's'. Again these guys are doing the same thing with their brahmin infitrated ideology. They claim the british changed the way sikhi was - yet that's exactly what they are doing. They believe in the 4 sects of Udhasis, Nirmalay, Seva Panthis and Akali nihangs. Guru gobind Singh breated one khalsa panth with no divisions. Don;t let these Giddar's fool you!! http://www.sikhsangat.com/index.php?/topic/62167-gt1588-exhibition-on-the-golden-temple-of-amritsar/

  39. Mods, sooooo many youths are being misguided by these lies & mistruths...i mean way tooo many - a non-kesadhari Sikh turned up to read my friends house elec/gas meter and spent 20mins trying to convince my friend that sikhs are Hindu's...clearly his claims were baseless...but when asked where was he getting this from...he said Niddar. So many good chardikala Singh's are now just messed up. Mods...Please make this a sticky and keep it in the General Section. Thanks

  40. Sometimes people feel they are being targetted by the 'darkarts' when in truth it is something tangible in the real world that is affecting them. Have a look around and see if it may be something else causing your problems rather than the ethereal BlackMagic excuse. Then do whatever you need to rectify it.

  41. I'm not sure but the first thing that popped into my mind was following a person instead of Akaal Purakh Waheguru Timeless Truth. For example following a cheap baba who has no other goal instead of joining you with him instead of Waheguru/God/Allah/Ram/Rahim or maybe as simple as being so engrossed in maya and friends you have forgotten God. I'm not sure, this is just what came to mind, probably not right.

  42. Lol well Guru Gobind Singh Ji says Kalki avtar will eventually become corrupt so although he will usher in Satyug on earth, we need to keep following Gurbani and the Guru, remember Kalki avtar wil be an incarnation of Vishnu and not god himself or a Satguru.

  43. I agree and Kalyug is most certainly almost at it's end, all the signs are there. Satnam Sri Waheguru.

  44. Kalki Avtar is coming and will bring on the age of Satyug. Believe in the words of Siri Guru Gobind Singh Ji. He has cleared up Hindu history for us and this prophecy is imminent. If you don't believe Satyug is coming, lady Maya has fooled you badly. Don't worry what others say, read Sri Dasam Granth.

  45. If they knew of the pagan significance of the christmas tree then I don't blame them. Either way it can only be a good thing, the Christmas tree tradition isn't christian, it's pagan. Perhaps Waheguru ordered this. How does anyone know anything. Only He knows.

  46. More or less everyone knows what a typical sikh looks like, we have the 'stereotypical Turban' image to many. So everyone has seen a sikh portrayal of a sikh as hindus etc don;t really wear turbans anymore, it's more a sikh practice. Not everyone has seen a jain or buddhist. (Although budhists are more common). If they delved deeper into the meaning of the image/ turban they'd understand more, it's their choice.

  47. Yeh I get this all the time. I dunno I guess it's just kaljug, I used to think its b/c I shouldn;t have fallen back asleep again after amrit vela but I'm pretty certain it isn;t that now b/c ive had good dreams aswell. I gues it's just kaljug trying to attack us like all the other bad dreams it throws our way. We should fight these dreams and not wallow in the negativity they can stir within us as thats feeding kalyug/ bad spirits/ making them stronger. I guess its babajis way of seeing how hard we fight to stay afloat (like a lotus!).- and/ or repaying our karma/ either way it can only be a lesson and in our best interest. P.s Gurbani tells us to say his name with every single breath. It could be because we read gurbani but don't follow it's words and there is no point in that.
