Hi, I was wondering if any of you could help me with this question as it has been bothering me for way too long now. This might be a bit long, so bear with me. Basically, I'm a 19 year old girl who is NOT amrit dhari and not very religious (i cut my hair etc) however, I have always believed in God and go to the gurudwara and pray more than I used too. Anyways, I have committed many sins throughout my teenage years and not so long ago, I did some things with a guy and I am not exactly proud of it.. Now, of course..this regret and guilt is killing me and I do not have anyone to reach out but God himself. However, I seriously feel ashamed in front of him for the "lust…

Paedophile Amir Muhammad Dhaliwal also known as Amere Singh Dhaliwal is NOT a Sikh and was a Muslim when committing his crimes. This individual despite being a Muslim took on an external Sikh-like look in 2013 when an investigation into his activities was launched. Sikhs condemn grooming and it is telling that his associates in the grooming he engaged in were overwhelmingly Pakistani Muslims. This criminal Amere Dhaliwal is no Sikh - and was a Muslim when committing his grooming activities. But we must be vigilant of those who take on a certain outer look for their own benefit with no respect for humanity or Sikhi's principles.

I have recently learnt that the last general secretary of Baba deep Singh Gurdwara Soho Rd Handsworth satnam singh panesar who was responsible for the kidnap of a young Sikh lad in 2000 is being released on early parole. He is being offered his old position of general secretary (hence him receiving early parole ) how can this be stopped? This is unbelievable, how is being allowed to happen? Can we do something to stop this from taking place? These are the same people who tried to take over in Smethwick gurdwara information is below. Satsriakal everyone I am a sikh boy,20 years old and I am a proud gursikh who has lately had an urge to trim my beard. I have been doing a lot of research on this but have not come across a reasonable argument. Why is it that me making a personal life decision of trimming my beard might move me away from my sikhi in the eyes of others. The reason why I would want to trim my beard is because I would feel more comfortable and neat. I proudly wear a turban and will always carry on wearing it with pride and honour. Some of the reasons which I came across were that our Gurus kept their honour and many sikh men have given their lives to protect this honour. I completely agree…

As I'm banned, much of what I've said before, say now and will say in the future, gets lost or ignored in the guest Gupt section. But, those of you that have taken the time to read some of my earlier messages here will recall 2 things I've said which tie up nicely to the point of this thread. Firstly, you may recall how a Canadian Sikh made a thread a while ago on the main page in which he asked if the 'Sikhs converting to Muslim probem' really was as bad as the UK Sikhs on this forum make out. As I couldn't reply directly to that thread I wrote a reply on this Gupt section in which I articulated that the answer was 'no'. I stated that the UK muslim conversion problem was…

A friend said to me that if a girl/women is menstruating she is forbidden to go to the Gurdwara and take part in seva (preparing langar) or go near the Sri Guru Granth Sahib Ji. This has got me scared and now every time I menstruate I dont tend to go to the Gurdwara and then produce a guilty conscience for not going. I need to clear this minsunderstanding regarding sikh girls/women. I've heard so many times that if a Sikh girl/women is menstruating they're not allowed near the Sri Guru Granth Sahib Ji, or in the Gurdwara or even allowed to serve or make the Langar. Is this true or is this just a myth/tabboo?

is there anything written about keeping hair and beard for sikhs in guru granth sahib? a person should be sikh from heart or from is looks ???????? the much easier way is to loose the dastaar means cut ur hair , will be much easier to get up and get ready ,, ,,, gurus always told us to be non superstitious and nowdays sikhs are the most superstitious poeple we see arround,,,in now days times there is no need of a sikh swaroop , one should try to be true sikh from heart and not by looks ,,,

Sat Sri Akal Ji! I was searching on the above topic to prep for my case, to present to the Judge, how Sikhs look at adultery. As sikh we are thought to be faithful only, but what happen if one of the partner commit adultery? How is it should be handled in Sikh Maryada? My case, I went to India to get married as professional living in US, I was cornered in every direction and strangely with my own relative. (crazy). After getting married (Lava), the girl was acting strange, I'm not accustom to indian/punjabi culture and I thought its normal in arranged married. Fast forward she arrives in USA, pregnant, she told me it was my baby, she leaves me when the baby was 1 mo…
