I'm trying to install the new SikhiToTheMax on a computer with Vista, but after installation, when I try to open it up it gives me an error. It says something about a JIT debugger (Just In Time). I have no idea what JIT is, has anyone else had this problem? if so, how'd you fix it? I've attached a jpeg of the error, I hope it shows up. Thanks in advanced for your replies.

I came across this link and saw this.... Sardar selected a short girl to marry. Why? Because guru ji told him Musibat jitni choti ho utna acha hai ...:-P Here's the link.. http://sms4smile.com/category/funny-sms/page/20/ Although I dont understand what it says in Urdu which it is I'm assuming, it can't be nice. I want to email them and complain. But i think the more of us that complain and bombard them with emails only then our complain is more likely to be taken on board. How would they like it if we made a joke and put Allahs name in there?

I dont believe in caste. But neverless being realistic person. We know what kind of problems this can cause. We all know that 99% of Parents want their child to marry someone of the same community/caste whatever you want to call it. What kind of problems can arise from inter caste marriages. Can it cause friction. With both families feeling uncomfortable with each other as they may have different way of doing things. Some issues are. Bhatra tend to be more conservative wheras jatt ramgaria let their girls go clubbing, wear revealing clothes and let their kids marry white and other races alot more. Anyone think it can work? and how would they …

Inter-faith Marriage Allowed At A Coventry Gurdwara 1 2 3

I was at someone's house and saw a wedding card. I read the wedding card and it was for a "Sikh" girl marrying a Christian Gora. According to what was written on the card... the wedding is taking place Sunday 24th May 2009 at "Ramgarhia Gurdwara Sikh Temple, 1103 Foleshill Road, Coventry, CV6 6EP". To what I understand a Hukamnama has been issued that inter-faith marriages are not to be allowed by any Gurdwara and that in a meeting last year or something Gurdwaras across England agreed to follow the Hukamnama and not allow marriages with people of other faiths who don't believe Maharaaj and some don't even believe in God! Is there a group who deals with these concerns…

Inter-jatha Marriage 1 2

What does the sangat think about the marriage of an Amritdhari Singh and Amritdhari Kaur who took Amrit from Panj Pyaare of 2 different jathebandis? For example 1 follows the maryada of AKJ, and the other of Damdami Taksal, and they both have the utmost respect for each other's Rehits. Lets also presume here that BOTH the Singh and Kaur are dastaar wearing Gursikhs, and also have full shardha in all of Dasam Patshah's Bani. The only difference that would remain here would then be (I didn't want to say this) their different stands in terms of Mool Mantar and Raag Mala. But as long as it doesn't matter to them, they have Gursikhi prem for each other, and accept and respect …

I have been in a relationship with a nonsikh man for the past 4 years, but it has been a secret relationship (meaning my parents don't know). For the past two years we have been talking about marriage, but in Indian or Sikh culture I have realized that this is deemed as unacceptable. But why is it unacceptable? I don't see any reason other than the fact that I wouldn't be able to pass on the culture or bring my children up as Sikhs, but he has agreed to let me do that because he understands that it is something very important to me. If he's okay with that- then why would it still be unacceptable?

Intercaste Marriage Situation
by Guest Joe Marji- 5 replies

WJKK WJKF, I have been wanting to marry a girl who belongs to another caste. We've been together for a few years now and have been trying to move our relationship forward. My parents have been adament on not letting this happen whereas her parents are ready to move forward since the day my partner convinced them to overlook my caste. Despite me trying to explain to my parents that she is what I would want as my life partner and what our house would need as a daughter in law (ie. family-centric, caring, vegetarian, wants to progress in Sikhi with me, and etc.), caste is the only thing they see. My parents have even said said to let her go and find someone in my caste an…

Intercaste Relations

Hi guys, just looking for some advice on an awkward situation. :unsure2: I've been 'suffering' from depression for several years now alone, and recently found someone who was willing to listen to my concerns and help me through what was a very very hard time recently, which consisted of anxiety attack after anxiety attack, breakdowns and feeling very low and even considering suicide at times. It wasn't a pretty sight haha. I'm 18 and a Jatt, and he is 18 but Tarkhan. Obviously this raised a huge problem among my family when they realised of his existence. They got into contact with his family making threats etc. which was the wrong way to go about it in my eyes. My r…

Hi everyone, Just came across this website as I was trying to find out some information about a local gurdwara and thought I'd put some of my queries on here as I'm actually really nervous to go to the gurdwara and wouldn't know the etiquette or who would be able to answer my questions there. I'm really interested in Sikhi but I don't know how I should go about things. I believe in the ten gurus and the Sikh philosophy and I don't owe allegiance to any other religion. I'm really inspired by the message of Sikhi but I don't know what to do about it, should I become Sikh? Can I become Sikh? I'm white and although I'm aware of Guru's teaching to treat the human race as one…
