Incentive To Be Religious? 1 2 3

Gurfateh all, I am lost, so I turn to the sangat and ask for help. I have a few questions raising in my mind... I hope you can assist. I have been actively trying to settle my mind on why one must be religious and follow the path to the one true creator. Amidst this, I started thinking what is the incentive to be religious? This lead me to contemplate the wonders of akalpurakh and creation itself. Obviously it is not my place to comprehend the ways of akalpurakh but I am usually able to satisfy my curiosity. As far as I know, in the beginning only the primodial void existed and then at the will of the akalpurakh the universe was created. Similarly, with his will everyt…

So I usually do one hour amritvela simran but today maharaj kirpa I did 2. I went back to sleep for 2 hours and had the most disgusting, disturbing dream that I can’t even mention on here. There’s those kaam dreams just about kurheits and then there’s the most deep, disgusting dark dream I had, no exaggeration. This happened to me a couple of days back when I missed amritvela so I thought it was a sign to get up, but now it’s happening after simran. Please help I feel so disgusting. I feel like I deserve to be punished in narak for this disgusting dream. I don’t even think of kaam throughout the day. I do simran in my head and I read books on Sant …

Recently, I have started to recognize the events that happened in 84. And now I am always troubled. I don't know what to even think anymore. I used to believe that India was my country, I used to boast about being proud to be an Indian but now I am just really confused on everything. What should I do/think to allieviate my confusion?

India has finally discovered the Nihung Singhs

This farmers protest has thrown up some curious developments. The most obvious is the way in which different regions and peoples have put aside past animosities and embraced each other. For example I never thought I'd see the day in which Haryanvis describe Punjab as their big brother but I've lost count how many times I have heard them say that over the course of the last few days. And.....then there is the curious case of the Nihangs. After they showed up at the Singhu border a few days ago Indian channels, especially South Indian channels who had never seen or heard of a nihang before, have been doing newscast after newscast about what they describe as fascinating peo…

I have seen quite a few topics of guys complaining about the indian born wifes behaviour in this gupt section. Ie they are aggressive, rude, annoying, argumentative, uncaring, ungrateful, selfish dont do housework, dont respect the inlaws. Want you to spend all your hard earned money on them and send back to home. I will attempt to address these issues in this thread. About 70% of women are like that from India. There are 30% that are decent but a high percentage as mentioned 70% have the above traits I have mentioned. It all depends how bad they are on the scale but nearlly all of the have these unwanted personality traits. It just depends on the luck of …

Hi apologies in advance for any grammer and typo errors. So i have been married for over 8 years and have 2 children. I don't live with my in-laws as they are in India. i got married in india and my husband joined me in the UK. my parents helped a great deall financially by putting down a deposit for our house and offering financial support as and when they could. they came to visit a few years back and caused so many problems between me and partner whereby they were filling his ears about how much freedom i really should have. I have never disrespected them, i suppose some will say by posting this online i am disrespecting them but i don't know where else to turn. …

Indo Canadian Gang, Amrit, my life
by Guest Sidhu- 0 replies

Hello everyone. I am a 36 year old male from Surrey Canada ??. Im married and I have two children. Both under 10. In 2015 to 2018 I was involved with an indo Canadian gang (Punjabi mafia). I ran the business side of it for my crew for a couple years with some help from a really close friend, who I no longer speak too. Overtime I also indulged in the same drugs I had stored for dealing. I became a cocaine addict, smoked weed, and drank liquor. I became very paranoid. I always looked over my shoulders. Never felt safe. I'm an <banned word filter activated> for putting my family in that position too. Anyways I was constantly looking out for cops, snitc…

Is it true that Indonesian law does not recognise Sikhism? Indonesian law does not recognize Sikhism, thus Sikhs are not allowed to identify themselves as such on their identity cards or birth or marriage certificates, Sikhs are therefore registered as Hindu.

Inequality In Sikh Marriages? 1 2

Hi everyone, I was just wondering how would you lot deal with this situation: I am trying to advise my cousin sister. After marriage she was expected to go and live in the mans house, but previous to that she had her own house for years but was expected to leave it. She lived independently for years and of course, would find in difficult to live in the in-laws house but she agreed to try it. Now, they "imprison" her. She is not allowed to keep in contact with her old, good friends (been friends for 10 years) and has her calls to her family monitored. She is expected to cook and clean whilst her husband does nothing. She is treated as a house slave, even though she is m…

I feel sooo alone at the moment and am constantly thinking negatively i am trying to get out this by exercising/eating etc its helping but not alot. I feel alone because my social life has become non existent because all my friends drink etc but i dont like to go to those places and feel excluded so dont get invited out alot. im in my mid twenties and long for companionship too but soo far no woman has ever shown a interest in me and that has had a negative impact on me. Im not immature and understand that by marriage time i might end up marrying a girl who has been in one or two relationship (hopefully non sexual) and when i think about that i feel depressed because what…
