by Guest Guest- 0 replies

Gents Can someone think of available devices that can be used by people in Punjab to listen to Punjabis radio abroad. Basically the idea is that common sikhs in Punjab can listen to discussion programs or social programs broadcasted from uk(akash, panjab, raaj radios)And also from Canada & US. Such media broadcast is must to give confidence in our people. At the moment complete ban of such radios in India are forcing people keep listen to hindish punjabi programs and have low confidence with no worth discussion programs to have their say Expecting everyone to have computer setup then using net connection will be too m…

I need some advice about my brother, he recently got dumped by his girlfriend and has become obessed about getting revenge agaisnt the guy who caused it. The problem is ever since he started going out with her he detached himself from the family, he doesnt eat with us, sit with us, clean, do chores or get a job. He's in his late teens and just sits at home all day or on MSN. We sent him to relatives in another city aswell but there he is the same...if not lazier and they couldnt handle him. Every other week he goes out and gets <Edited> now (he's Keshdhari!); he says hes lost faith in Sikhi because he only asked for one thing and that is his relationship with his …

Sleeping With Kirpans 1 2
by Guest -MusicBaba-- 11 replies

Hi guys, A few years ago I started keeping my hair. Ever since, I've had faith and I've been studying my religion. Recently I decided to try and wear the full 5K's including Kirpan 24/7 and get myself setup towards taking Amrit one day (god willing) . During the day I can walk about with no problems. At night when I sleep I find it IMPOSSIBLE to sleep with my kirpan on. Either the cold metal of it keeps touching me and freaking me out, or my mind is just set on it being there. My mind refuses to budge and I never get to sleep. I bought myself a considerably small kirpan compared to what I've seen other Sikhs wear. How can I adjust myself/kirpan towards being able to …

Divorce

Divorce, what is the sangats view on this. I am asking from a personal perspective. I have been divorced for 6 years now. Lately everyone seems to be saying that we should get together and put the past behind us. I have not spoken to my ex wife at all about it and I don’t know where these ideas are originating from. We have no children. Has anyone known a Sikh arranged marriage where the couple have got together after a divorce? I thought that these things don’t exist in the Sikh culture? It’s really messing up my head and I need to resolve this issue. What should I do?

Sarpanch, Some Suggestion In Future Debate
by Guest Guest- 1 reply

Sarpanch, I did hear yesterday debate program in akash radio( ban the RSS in uk). In discussion debate, the best way is to argue and not get angry. I could see, you were losing calm on some occasions( jp singh raising point of only congress govern state get 1984 riots , Calcutta example he gave was good. You should have said. Communist do not allow right wings getting hold in Bengal) . And second time with this person you mention claiming , his saving by rss neighbour( through his brother & nephew get killed in 1984). At that you did argue well by showing him not to hate anyone, ( Muslims etc). Actually in the start of the program …

Waheguru ji ka khalsa Waheguru ji ki fateh 1) Why do we refer to Sohila Paatth as 'Kirtan Sohila', whilst the word Kirtan is not written next to it in GGSJ? 2) I have heard some people during the Ardaas say may the Bani be accepted in Sachkhand. But isn't the Bani actually from Sachkhand it self? 3) Many Sant followers often refer to their Sant as a 'Puran Brahm Gyani' but in Gurbani says a Brahm Gyani can only be Pura. "Brahm Gyani Puran Purakh Bidata".
