by Guest dee- 1 reply

When you are listening to prayers such as on You tube do you always have to have your head covered? Is it ok to do homework, eat whilst listening? Another q can you just ask God for what you want by covering your head and asking after praying or is it only if you do certain prayers? I have been depressed for months and have exams have been praying everyday and asking my mum to pray for me to get better. I have been listening to Sukhmani Sahib all day and feel so happy even though nothing in my life changed today but it gives me hope! I just want to listen non-stop. I was given antidepressants, counselling tried everything couldn't eat, sleep, cried all the time, did n…

Friends, I have come across a question amongst my colleagues and my discussion partners. We have come to ask anybody who has the information regarding the regulation size of the KASHARA. I know that some higher ranking singhs where large kashara because they can turn them into a tent while living in the jungle. However some singhs argue that a smaller kashara is also sufficient for the duties it is intended for. Some of the bibian have argued that the size does not matter however we are the having mixed information regards in this topic. Some Singhs I have contacted in the European market have advice me that velcro is being used because of its efficiency and ease …

our gurughar has rats (could be mice). i spend a lot of time there so ive cn them, only a few of us knw abt thm. the committee have made it clear theyre not going to do anything, their funds need to be spent elsewhere ie their own agenda. i dont think the council can do anything because the gurdwara is an independent body, if we were selling the food then i suppose they could intervene but ppl rnt paying for langar so... not sure abt this btw. can someone with a bit mre knowledge help plz. so anyone got a solution? and im not going to name this gurdwara, so dont bother asking!

The “State language” Punjabi in State of Punjab is not mandatory to be taught in schools. Can someone put light as why Punjab govt shy away from such decision. This is in light that there are many other states ( West Bengal(Bengali)l, Kerala(Malay am), Andra Pradesh(telgu) , Tamil Nadu (tamil)) etc which have made mandatory that all schools ( Govt, private, public, convent etc) have to thought their state languages in schools from class 1 to 10th. If you see recent education levels, It is the people from south India & even Bengal who are doing excellent in IT, Banking & Business management studies. Their boys get best high payi…
