Waheguru Ji Ka Khalsa Waheguru Ji Ki Fateh. Does anyone agree with making a statue of Sant Jarnail Singh Ji Khalsa Bhindranwale. A statue like the photograph (Click Here? It will be kept, in a glass sheler, like this: Click Here It will be raised on a marble block, with a plaque saying "Sant Jarnail Singh Ji Khalsa Bhindranwale, Greatest Sikh of the 21st Century, and in panjabi aswell". If you have a better choice of text for the plaque, then please let me know. This statue, will be in a Sikh community centre / gurdwara / etc. The reason I started this topic, it was like Sikhism rejects stone idols, but thats of Gods/ goddess, and idol worship, is it ok for sta…

I understand that flour ghee and sugar have to be weighed and equal parts to make degh. The water is supposed to be 4 times the amount but is not weighed. How do we get the proper amount of water then? Are we to eyeball it. foe ex. 1/4 of the baati is filled with flour hence that amount times 4 is the water needed? How do you guys figure out the water amount..

Dear Sangat For making degh: The rehat says 3 parts the same by weight (sugar, flour, ghee)then 4 times water. As far as I have heard the water is not weighed. So then how do come up with the 4 parts water? Is it the amount of sugar that is in the baata you just eye ball it and make then add the same amount of water *4?

Sangat Ji, So as far as I have been able to fing out about making degh: Flour, Sugar and Ghee should be in equal quantities and water 4 times the amount. So 1 bowl each of flour, sugar and ghee and water would be 4 bowls. I am using Sher Atta (used for making rotis), unsalted butter and sugar (the regular kind as used in tea, etc). I do find find however that the quantities do not mix properly - the 4 times water amounts makes the degh to "slushy" and it does not become 1 mass. Also the flour compared to ghee also seems off. Ghee ends up being not enugh, so when the flour is mixed with the ghee it is not liquidy it becomes crumbly. Am I measuring wrong here? Is it sup…

http://community.channel4.com/eve/ubb.x?a=...11&m=4990093721 There is a website dominated by our Muslim brothers and sisters, or full of atheists. Please take a look and see how bad it is getting, thy have recently started making fun of Sri Guru Gobind Singh ji!!! I try to educate them but I find it difficult because of lack of time to debate with them all. This isn't small silly website, but channel 4's Origination website. It is a website about black and Asian history so it is viewed by many. Please take part as it will help to clear up the misconceptions of Sikhism in the wider public. Also it can help us to learn more about our own faith, and so our part in the …

It seems to me that most of the kirpans, karaas, kanghaas are shiped from India to the west. It has become a sort of business. Waht if there is a war and this shipment stops. Can we make our kakaars in the time of need ?? Are any sikh youth (especially in the west) able to make kirpans, karaas and other shastars. During the times of war(there might be large scale wars in the future), sikhs wil have massive amrit sanchars, but can we make kakaars locally in short time ????

Waheguru Ji Ka Khalsa, Waheguru Ji Ki Fateh! I have a tendency to make myself every once in awhile. I have a Kidney diseases; its one of those things if I take care of myself its nothing and if I don't it could do some serious damage. I am not into medication because I just have no faith in them anymore. Majority of the time I am fine but whenever I talk to my doctor or look at my blood reports or even if I take my prescription I end up spending the next couple in lots of pain and all the symptoms of the disease show up. When I avoid those 3 things, I am in perfect health. But I can't always avoid those three things, so I need some Gurbani I could recite on those days to…

WAHEGURU JI KA KHALSA WAHEGURU JI KI FATEH Waheguru was busy making mothers when all of a sudden, an Angel appeared and said "Why are you spending so much time on this one?" And Waheguru answered and said, "Have you read the spec sheet on her? She has to be completely washable, but not elastic; have 200 movable parts, all replaceable; run on black coffee and leftovers; have a lap that can hold three children at one time and that disappears when she stands up; have a kiss that can cure anything from a scraped knee to a broken heart; and have six pairs of hands." The Angel was astounded at the requirements for this one. "Six pairs of hands! No way!" said the Angel. …

Ishdeep Sawhney, founder and chief executive officer of Banihal came up with the idea to pick the best possible matches using several socio economic factors such as education, employment, income etc. In addition to this, use proprietary algorithms based on neuroscience to find your life partner The algorithms mimic closely the human behavior in making decisions to come up with the recommended matches Further to make this a complete secure communication medium, the service dont bother people to share their email or phone number.
