Just a quick question, I was always under the impression that official forces such as police or military were not openly welcome if they were in their uniforms. However I was recently at Paonta Sahib and there were soldiers sat there having langar with machine guns in their hands. I know langar is for everyone and if we understand the message of Bhai Khaniya then we are meant to do seva for everyone and not discriminate. Cant these soldiers especially in light of bluestar leave their machine guns in their truck whilst having langar? I have some photos which i will post in a bit.

Waheguru Ji Ka Khalsa, Siri Waheguu Ji Ki Fateh. I just want to openly invite you all to Dudley Gurdwara this Sunday afternoon (22/11/09). The Committee have announced an open meeting with the sangat regarding the putting down of ghastly benches at the back of the Darar Sahib. I am aware that many Gurdwaras have these benches, i personally dont agree that they should be there, but those Gurdwaras that have them have a LOT of sangat coming through their doors on a daily basis. Their benches are also very low, and not disrespectful to look at and more importantly to Guru Maharaj. However, Dudley Gurdwara has no sangat coming during the week, and there are a handful of wo…

I am sure that the majority of you are aware about the following blog http://sikh-reality.blogspot.com/ If not i suggest taking a look. With the was comtent on this and other forums plummeting with regards to vidiya and vedant and becoming more of 'I'm right you're wrong' or the constant dasam granth threads this blog is a refreshing change. I seemed to have learned an awful lot from this blog and i think a thank you and praise should be given to the sevadar who has opened the minds of ignorant sikhs to a broader picture esp of nihangs where the topics on here are meat, drink, drugs, chatka focused and not on the puratan vidya they used to hold. Well that is my rant i…

Has rare audio taken from what I presume are video news reports.I think it is about time that any Sikhs who have any media relating to the Sikh Movement release it on the net so that it can help with the Sikh Movement - its no or never.Other wise we have the same old footage, audio and pics the more media the better it will be for us in the longterm in educating and waking people up as well as preserving history - lets not 'hide away' things as exlclusives so I appeal to anyone who may have similiar stuff to release it online for the Sikh Nation to see

Please watch this Khalsa Aid video about poor Sikhs being converted in Punjab, where are all these babas who claim to be such great pracharaks ? I agree with babbu Mann and its about time we opened our eyes and shun the "holy conmen ". We should support such projects instead of following self centred greedy con babas... http://www.youtube.com/user/KhalsaAid

Waheguru Ji Ka Khalsa, Waheguru Ji Ki Fateh, After last years election results were thrown out in court, another election was held Sunday, November 15, 2009. With Guru Ji's Kirpa, out of 22,000 votes, the first count was 13,000 for Sikh Youth, and 7,000 for the Cheema Slate I believe this will help the Sikh community in the Lower Mainland of BC which seemed to be broken apart before this election. Great turnout. WJKK WJKF www.newfuture.ca http://www.theprovince.com/life/turnout+Surrey+Guru+Nanak+Sikh+temple+vote/2226714/story.html
