Late Bhag Singh Ambala was a missionary who wrote a book casting doubts on Dasam Granth sahib. Akal takhat excommunicated him for this balsphemous act. After some years before his death he appeared at akal takhat and apologized for gurninda. His book was put out of print and he was taken back in panth. Crook missionary Surjit singh was selling dead Bhag singh's book at a stall at gurdwara Bangla sahib on Guru sahib's birthday. this was in yesterday's spokesman newspaper. He also sells other anti dasam granth books at his stall. Delhi committee when under Avtar singh hit's presidentship had banned Surjit singh from holding any stall there. With Sarna at helm of Delhi comm…

A funeral procession of a Sikh man greeted us when we entered the main street of Sultanpuri in Delhi. Life became a simile. Sultanpuri was death personified. The sound of saying the word Sultanpuri was like a wail of death. With a heavy heart and anger seething inside me, riding the pillion of a social activist’s scooter, with camera in hand, I dared to set foot on an alien territory to overcome my own pain and shame for not having visited the place, all these twenty-five years. As I glanced around, the faces that I saw –men and women, there was something wrong with them. They did not look in the eye when they talked. To me every one looked like Gupta, Nathu and Isla…

Most of the Sikh Community will be aware that last year sardar Nirmal Singh Dhesi passed away. Nirmal Singh Ji started many projects one of them was to trace our role and heritage in world wars 1 & 2. He made massive break throughs and made sure the sacrifices made did not go unrecognised. The Sikhs played a vital and pivatol role in the freedom movement against nazi's. Lets all attend this years remembrance day and show we care and are proud of the courage shown by all soldiers that fought but in particular our Sikh brothers, because that made that vital difference between victory and defeat (this fact is also stated by many Non-Sikhs of the time). Remembrance Sund…

Hi, after travelling up and down universitys around england its obvious conversions to other religions especially islam is a massive problem. with most girls knowing very little about their own religion. many indian families concentrate on making money teaching them the basics of sikhi when they are young and then from the age of 16 years of years onwards allow them to do mostly as they please aslong as they do well in education. Anyone who has been to university in recent years knows how girls act in clubs these days especially sikh girls, most of them get into proper relationships for the first time when they are in university, i.e. with no parents around to set a c…
