Date: Fri, 11 Mar 2005 21:29:44 -0800 (PST) From: Gulneet Kaur Subject: a short story : God Is Everywhere "GOD I SEE YOU EVERYWHERE” Here’s a famous story on how God is everywhere, always ready to help, and always sending people or events that will help you. THE BIG FLOOD There was a man named Joe whose farm was located on the banks of a flood-swollen river. There came a big flood, and the water around Joe's house was rising steadily. Joe was standing on the porch, watching water rising all around him, when a man in a boat came along. and called to Joe, "Get in the boat and I'll get you out of here." Joe replied. "No thanks. God will save me." Joe…

The following is on the UK Ministry of Defence web site - we should publicise such things as much as possible Published Friday 11th March 2005 1944: In Burma, Nand Singh, a Naik with 1/11th Sikh Regiment, led his section in a counter-attack after the Japanese had succeeded in taking a British position on a ridge-line. He led his men up a very steep and exposed hillside, in the face of heavy machine-gun fire, and despite being repeatedly wounded in the leg, face and shoulder, did not rest until all three trenches had been taken. He was awarded the Victoria Cross. http://news.mod.uk/news_headline_story.asp?newsItem_id=1537

WJKK WJKF A few months ago, I asked for help with Indian movies and received a lot of positive responses. Because of sikhsangat.com's help, I was able to successfully write a paper for my Indian Cinema and Society class on Maachis. For my next paper, I would like to write about the misrepresentation of Sikhs in Indian films. For this, I would appreciate any suggestions for any films with Sikhs in them, along with a few facts about the film (whether Sikhs are shown negatively or positively, brief plot summary, etc). I would appreciate any help. Thanks! WJKK WJKF

Sikhi is a celebration of life. The Sikh Gurus realized that music as a spiritual medium can elevate the soul beyond mere words alone. They enshrined that celebration of life through their musical poetry (Gurbani), that appears in Sri Guru Granth Sahib. Along with outstanding poetry celebrating life and Akal Purakh, the Gurus also provided detailed musical instructions within Sri Guru Granth Sahib. Gurmat Sangit is the rich musical tradition that evolved out of a practice dating back to the time of Guru Nanak and his musician companion Baba Mardana. Subsequently the tradition developed as a result of public performances, at gatherings known as Gu…

vaheguru ji ka khalsa vaheguru ji ki fateh This article was in sundays news of the world and is online too... really really bad... puts the name sant and khalsa into bad light...there are true sants in this world and true khalsa's but few and far between INVESTIGATION: This coach load of illegal immigrants thought they were going to work... Busted! By Mazher Mahmood I DROVE a mini-bus load of illegals into the arms of the law yesterday—as my expose of an immigration racket run by a Sikh ‘saint' reached its dramatic climax. My passengers—some of whom had posed as Sikh priests to get into the UK —had happily piled into the mini-bus looking forward to jobs I'd pr…
