fateh ji id like to say a few things and would like peoples opinion on what i say, thanks! girls or guys regardless, from sikh origion, drink and eat meat and do the whole nashaa thing. this is oviously not allowed in sikhi and sikh relegion. so, why are they called sikhs?? most of them just about know our first guru and most of them dont even know the full mool manter let alone the maha manter! they carry the names singh and kaur for an otherwise specified reason to that of our father. the name singh was only given to the khalsa. amritshak peoples. after the 5piyaare took amrit they then and only then got the name given to them. guru gobind singh ji was known as (guru…

Waheguru Ji Ka Khalsa Waheguru Ji Ki Fateh I have posted a few sakhis about Sant Baba Harnaam Singh Ji in the past. For those you interested in learning more about this Mahapursh there are a few more stories on this site: http://www.babanandsinghsahib.org/babaharn...nghji/index.htm Baba Ji once appeared outside village Jandawale and sat under a dry pipal tree. It was the month of June. An old man named Mala Singh used to pass by that side daily. He once requested BabaJi to accept some service from him and on being allowed started bringing milk once a day. The country-side was sandy, and it being the month of June, was scorchingly hot during day time. Mala Singh not…

Life It is like an ocean Which keeps flowing It causes floods hurricanes Which all causes loss Why do we cry? Why are we happy? Do you really know? When will this attachment stop? How did it all start? Life is just a phase WHy do we say that? Everybody we love isn't really ours either They are just a part of this world The same world in which people don't even know who they are The world in which they god is in heven But isn't god within us Isn't he suppose to be around us ISN'T HE SUPPOSE TO BE EVERYWHERE?! WHAT IS THE PURPOSE OF LIFE? Is it something in which we just wander or is to just make up for our mistakes My waheguru says that its to fin…

Hello all Firstly let me say that I have learnt so much from everyone on these boards and am still learning everyday. I have been listening to gurbani by Bhai Davinder Singh Sodhi and I really enjoy the way he tells you stories relating to the shabads - I find it very easy to to understand. Unfortunately, I have exhausted this supply now and I wondered if anyone could recommend another artist I could listen too who is similiar in style. Many thanks in advance.

vaheguru ji ka khalsa vaheguru ji ki fateh This was an email I received. Below are some of the narrated episodes of those who have witnessed Shaheed Singhs come to protect that which is dear to the Guru. They have been entrusted to Panthic Seva even when they are already in the next world. It is believed that these Shaheed Singhs come to the protection of GurSikhs. Gurudwaras and also to continue to pay respect wherever the Word of the Guru’s Bani is recited in complete devotion.Though they are at rest with the Akaal Purakh, they are still sent forth by the Guru to continue the work of the Guru and sent forth into the physical world in accordance with the Guru’s inst…

I was cleaning my hard drive and came upon the following article. Nankana’s Endowment Lands ( Comments in the talics are of Charnjit Singh Bal. I think Charnjit Singh was the editor of the Sikh Bulletin. I may have taken it from the Sikh Bulletin, but can't find the source of the article) [ Comments by Charnjit Singh Bal , Like many Sikhs I believed that Maharaja Ranjit Singh granted the endowments lands to the Guru Nanak’s birthplace Gurdwara at Nankana. Although Bhai Kanh Singh Nabha’s Mahan Kosh does mention ‘the Gurdwara has 18000 acres and 9,892 Rupees (circa 1930 AD value) of endowments to its name, it does not mention as to who bequeathed the land. N…

This is a problem for all the seekers. It is thought that it is an appropriate place to discuss the techniques and methods of controlling the mind so that one can concemtrate. It is requested that those who have practised this may kindly throw light on this.Gurbani has stated that it is very difficult to control it.It is HIS grace that can be helpful but we should also make some efforts. Members who have practised this may kindly guide.
