A Mexican Sikh Sat Siri Akal, Xalapa is located in Veracruz state, Mexico. There are 391,000 people living in that city. Only three persons wear turbans there, that's me and my two kids (12 and 4 years old). I have two jobs like most Mexican people, both as a web designer in the local government and in a newspaper. I converted to Sikhi 12 years ago while I was a student. Everyday I hear people yelling at me (osama, aladdin and many many others). I really don't care 'cause I'm sure what I am. Everyday people ask about my turban and my beard. To me, is completely normal, part of my routine. Things turned a little ugly right after September 11th, some people stare at us …

Waheguroo Jee Ka Khalsa! Waheguroo Jee Kee Fateh!! I came across this shabad today, and I was like: Then:  And then: The line that particularly struck me was "Amrit Naam Parmesar Tera, Jo Simrae So Jiwae". To enable us to live physically, we fill our "Tan" (Body) with Bhojan (Food). However, we always forget to feed our "Man" (Mind). Our Man must be fed with Bhajan. Bhajan is by Simran and Contemplation of Naam, or His Name, Waheguroo. If we do this, then we shall live spiritually.

THE SIKH DASTAAR (TURBAN) – IS IT JUST FOR SIKH MEN? by Manvir Singh Khalsa The dastaar (turban) is the crown worn by Kings. The dastaar is the dignity held on the heads of warriors. The dastaar is the honour of wise-men and sages. When women were seen as inferior and considered impure. When low castes were accepted as untouchables and treated as slaves. When the downtrodden were held down by the fear and oppression and made to feel lowly. Guru Jee reminded us that we are all the children of True Ruler, the One Creator, Waheguru. Guru Jee reminded us that we are all Kings and Queens. Guru Jee reminded us that we are all special and important beings. Women, low c…

waheguru jee ka khalsa! waheguru jee kee fateh!! wanted to share the following fictional story...but truely inspiring... Naked Eyes Sikhi was never of any importance to me. I was still young, and always believed it was something that people did in their fifty’s to pass time. I wanted to “live life to the fullest,” and that wasn’t possible if I was living the lifestyle of a Sikh. I didn’t care to understand the concept of God, or why people had so much faith in Him. All I cared about was looking good, and having as much fun as I could before I got married (I knew my parents would marry me off to a Sikh). If I was to get into Sikhi it would be a lot later in my life. I…

Waheguroo Jee Kee Khalsa! Waheguroo Jee Kee Fateh!! Before Guru Arjan Dev Jee had the Gurgaddi passed to Him, He was separated from Guru Ramdas Jee because Guru Ramdas Jee instructed Him to attend His second-cousin's wedding in Lahore. But before Guru Arjan Dev Jee left, Guru Ramdas Jee instructed Guru Arjan Dev Jee not to come back until called. Guru Arjan Dev Jee was not called back, and after some months, He longed for the Darshan of his beloved Guru. Guru Ramdas Jee was all-knowing, but did not call back Guru Arjan Dev Jee as a test. Guru Arjan Dev Jee then wrote letters to express his longings for Darshan. However, Guru Arjan Dev Jee's older brother, Prithi Chand, …

WJKWJF. I have just read this webpage, shown below and I say enough is enough. http://www.courierpostonline.com/news/sout...ey/m042805h.htm I mean, why do we let such DISEASE, ANGER, HATRED find its way into Sikhi, so pure, so beautiful created by our GuruJIs. You can see that this is yet ANOTHER example of Gurdwara Phardans letting down sikhi. All they care about is MONEY and POWER. Remeber one thing, GURUJI said, SIKHS HAVE NO RELIGIOUS LEADERS, EVERYONE IS EQUAL, the GURDWARA IS WHERE GURUJI RESIDES AND IS OF THE SADH SANGAT. Then why the heck do we let these Phardhans continue to let down Sikhi. I am not just saying this for the sake of it, Look at Mosques and …

http://www.panthic.org/news/129/ARTICLE/1275/2005-04-24.html Who says 'Sri Granth' is Guru? by Manvir Singh Khalsa In 2004 we celebrated the 400th anniversary of the first prakaash of the Aad Granth Sahib Ji. In 2004 we celebrated 400 years of the completion of Aad Granth Sahib Ji, which was dictated and compiled by Guru Arjan Dev Ji. In 2004 we celebrated that for 400 years we have been bestowed upon us an invaluable treasure by Vaheguru. However, amongst the celebrations, the joy and atmosphere of optimism and enlightenment, there are certain groups of people who are cunningly and cleverly trying to break the stability of the Sikh Panth (nation) and make vulner…
