waheguru ji ka khalsa waheguru ji ki fateh i would like to ask whether taking amrit is guru's hukam and if it is does that mean that the other gurus were not true sikhs and had not become one with akaal purakh. another thing i would like to ask is if the guru's share the same jyot. if they did which i have always believed up until now why do they have different banis. :

Prasadi was the name of a baby elephant , which was gifted to Guru Gobind Singh ji. The prince of Assam, whose parents had sought blessings of Guru Tegh Bahadur ji for birth of a son, came and presented it as a gift to Guruji. The young elephant was white or blue in color. He was trained to perform many acts. He wold hold a jug of water and wash Guruji's feet, and then dry them with a towel. He wiped Guruji's shoes and arranged them properly for Guruji to put them on. He fetched an arrow discharged by Guruji. He would wave peacock feathers in a knot over Guruji. At night he lighted two torches and showed way to Guruji. Many people came to see him. Unfortunately, the …

With vaisakhi around the corener…I thought we could share stories of our Amrit Sanchaars…you can be as vague or as detailed as you wish. Seeing as it was most likely the most important day in our lives, it would be good to share our experiences with each other… To get the ball rolling, I’ll start… I remember I came down into the kitchen where my dad was having breakfast, he could see I was nervous so he gave me sugary tea to drink, he told me what to expect when I got there (even though we had had this conversation a zillion times!) I cried all the way there (haha) well it was like a “good” crying I don’t even know how or why but the tears kept spilling, I had to dr…

"A Christian Missionary Meets Me" - From Bhai Sahib's Jail Chittheaa I now leave aside the story of my life in Nagpur Jail. If I remember any incident later on, it can be included in the second edition. But there is one incident worth mentioning before I close. It was a completely dark cell in which I had to spend day and night in ajapa jap (sempiternal contemplation of the divine Name), in the wonderful celestial music of which I remained absorbed most of the time. I could feel and see with my inner eyes the close presence of my Guru and God. The ever refreshing bliss of His presence and revelations, spread from the fragrant naval-seat of inner consciousness, to the lo…

Waheguru ji ka Khalsa, Waheguru ji ki Fateh. I was reading a shabad and got my eyes stuck on something that confused me. The shabad talks about the 4 yugas and in the verses on Satyuga it mentions Gurmukhs, and the verses later on Dwaapar Yuga it mentions the Satguru. Guṇ giān paḏārath har har kirṯārath sobẖā gurmukẖ hoī. Their wealth was the spiritual wisdom of the Lord's Glorious Virtues; the Lord was their success, and to live as Gurmukh was their glory. Jug ḏu…
