Taken from a sakhi I heard in Nihang Sukha Singh Jee's katha on the occassion of Sahib Sri Guru Har Rai Sahib Jee Maharaj Sachay Patshah's parkash utsav: http://www.sikhroots.net/video/Professiona...hka%20Singh.wmv This was during the times of our 7th Guru, Sahib Sri Guru Har Rai Sahib Jee Maharaj Sachay Patshah. A Sikh in Kabul, Afghanistan woke up and started doing simran at 3 AM. He focussed his mind at the feet of Sahib Sri Guru Har Rai Sahib Jee Maharaj Sachay Patshah, and recited "simro Sri Har Rai". Gurujee, who was in Punjab, so many miles away, sat down at 3 AM, and because the Sikh was doing simran with utmost love, it is said that Gurujee could not move His fe…

this is what happens when ur bored in class: Here I Make My Stand They did us like they did every other nation in their path The same way they did the Zulus the Aztecs Same way they did the Jews. Just like they killed off the Native American, They Tried to genocide us too. They put chains around our necks, Impoverished us, bound us to our now worthless land. They broke our democratic ladder to freedom and success. Unknowingly, we continued to break our backs Feeding them, Empowering them Providing them with the very means they used to hold us down. It's said that a farmer's land is closer to him than his own life. They KILLED our land, takin our means to l…

Waheguru Ji ka Khalsa Waheguru Ji ke Fateh If anyone can help would be most appreciated until I start proper classes When singing a shabad are you supposed to treat the Thuk where it says 'Rahaa-O' as the main part of the shabad, therefore repeat it (like a chorus) I ask this as I have noticed that many popular kirtanee such as Bhai Harjinder Singh etc do not do this and use the first/second Thuk as main part (chorus) Some help would be appreciated Pull Chuk maaf

9.4 - Malcolm X There's a scene in the film Malcom X, when his cell mate finally succeeds in getting Mr X to accept Allah. Malcolm X was a very haumai rogee (ego diseased) gangster type when he came to jail. His cell mate was a black muslim and day in day out chiselled away at Mr X's mountain sized ego. Finally , Malcom X said I want to accept Allah. His cell mate told him to bow to Allah right here and now in this cell. Malcom X struggled hard to go down on his knees, his cell mate screamed at him like an army commander `BOW TO ALLAH!', `SUBMIT TO ALLAH!' finally Malcom X lowered his head to Allah's feet. Every night Guru Ram Das jee lovingly tells us : ਰਾਗੁ …

Each one of them comprising of their own particular do's & don'ts and a peculiar 'CODE OF CONDUCT'. They further proclaim themselves to be the intermediates between men & God and every layman thinks that, being their disciple or firm follower is fulfilling one's religion. WAHEGURU JI KA KHALSA WAHEGURU JI KI FATEH There was this man who saw a scorpion floundering around in the water. He decided to save it by stretching out his finger, but the scorpion stung him. The man still tried to get the scorpion out of the water, but the scorpion stung him again. A man nearby told him to stop saving the scorpion that kept stinging him. But the first man said: "It is the nature of the scorpion to sting. It is my nature to love. Why should I give up my nature to love just because it is the nature of the scorpion to sting?" Don't give up loving. Don't give up your goodness. Even if people around you sting. WAHEGURU JI KA KHALSA WAHEGURU JI KI…

Once there was this Singh and he would always crawl into the darbar sahib from the back like he was injured, he would slowly, slowly crawl along the floor croaking in a painful voice: "Guru Ji!! Guru Ji! oh! Pyara!! OH! Mardita sano! Guru!! Bachala menoo!" "Guru Ji!! Guru Ji!!" The whole sangat would look at him and get worried as if he was about to die. Sometimes he would go out for ages and when people came around him to see if he was alright he would suddenly:- "GURU JI!! GURU JI!! Guru maharaj ji!!!! GURU JI!" and continue towards maharaj Ji, crawling and crawling, crying and suffering, crawling on hands and knees dragging himself slowly. People would think he was …
